I just want to thank all of you who responded to my post on a payroll card. I got lots of good information and it has been very helpful. I'm so glad I have access to this website and thanks again everyone for sharing your information with me.

:confused:Hi everyone, I have a question. I am going to have a temp job with this agency that gives flu shot assignments to nurses in different States/cities. Their payroll method is something that I have never heard of. Has anyone ever been paid by "Mastercard Payroll card" before?? It seems like they would not issue a check and instead issue the card that I just mentioned. Before giving any information to receive a Mastercard payroll card, I was hoping I could find someone who has been paid through this method before. Please respond if you know anything about it. There are people, who regardless of what you do for them, seem to be dissatisfied all the time and you can't change it. The fact of the matter is; eventhough you might become the target of their anger, they're unhappy, angry and dissatisfied with themselves and their life and deep down it doesn't have any thing to do with what you have done or have not done for them. It happens every where, but in our profession we face it more frequently and more intensively b/c we work with ill people and their families. You should not quit nursing. By what you say, I understand that you're a caring nurse. What you need to change about yourself is your "vulnerability". In other words, you want to keep your "sensitivity" alive (any good nurse needs to be sensitive) and at the same time lose your vulnerability. When you know, you have done every thing within your range of power and available time frame, nobody should be able to make you feel so upset and disappointed in yourself. Give yourself credits for all the good work you do and only listen to positive criticisim.

I have been thinking about traveling nursing for a while and I really like to try it. But I don't have any friends who worked as a traveling nurse before. I like the idea but I'm afraid of doing it. I guess, because I'm not sure what can happen or what to expect? can any one give me some advice? some words of wisdom!! I love to hear from those of you who worked as a traveling nurse before or know some one who did it. Thank you.
