  1. I got a 71% on QT 7???

I know everyone is posting things like "Kaplan says you're supposed to get __%" but all I heard from Kaplan was that above 60-65% you're good. Does anyone know how a 71% on the last question trainer is? I'm taking my exam in less than two weeks an...

I used all my Qbank already!!
  3. For anyone who's done the Kaplan Qbank?

I am studying for the NCLEX (3 weeks away!). And have been getting 60-84% on the qbanks (mainly in the 60's/low 70's). I'm wondering how this compares to everyone else and if these are good percentages? I'm hoping this is preparing me for the NCLE...
  4. For anyone who's done the Kaplan Qbank?

okay good! I'm also pretty worried about the pharmacology and how much time I should spend on it. So far I haven't really studied pharm, and have just looked into meds as they come up in Kaplan questions. I feel like if I only get two medication q...
  5. RN's! I need your advice!!

I'm a GN and I was offered a medsurg position recently, but I am also hoping for the mpcu position I interviewed for. If I happen to be offered the mpcu position also, I'm not sure on which one I should take. The mpcu intimidates me, but I also thi...

  9. I am studying for the NCLEX using Kaplan and this was one of the questions. It said that calcium needs to be reduced prior to the procedure, but did not really explain why. The only rationale that I can think of is that they decrease calcium intake...
  10. FNP vs WHNP

well the thing is I don't want to do L & D, and I don't mind working with other women's issues too. So that's why I ruled out midwifery...and the NFP gives me wiggle room in regards to the unit I work on etc. ..?
  11. FNP vs WHNP

Hello, I want to become an NP, and my dream job would be to work with expecting mothers. But I am leaning towards FNP because I don't want to be stuck in one field if I want to change things up a bit. Is this a good idea or should I just go for ...
  12. I am planning on attending an FNP program. I am starting to think that it would be a very bad idea to work and go to school at the same time, especially if I want to get it done within 2-3 years. Is it realistic to take out school loans for all of ...
  13. How hard is it really to get a 4.0 in Nursing school

Depending on the school you go to, it can be extremely difficult. In the program I am in, you would literally need to get 100% on every single assignment/exam to have a 4.0. Needless to say, I'm pretty sure no one in my program has it.
  14. So I live in Michigan and plan on moving out of state. I have a state in mind but I won't be sure until after I take the NCLEX. So, my question is, should I get my licensure in Michigan so (because I plan on working here for a bit before I move) an...
  15. question about obtaining licensure!?

but is the endorsement just for temporary licensure or is it for the full time until renewal? and how long does it take to apply and receive the new license?
  16. I will be moving to Colorado next year, specifically the Boulder area. I am concerned that no one will be hiring new grads. Hopefully by that time I will have at least 4 months experience as an RN, 6 or 7 at the most. I feel like no one is hiring ...
  17. possible to get an RN position in Colorado?

I will also have one year of nurse tech experience. I don't know if that matters. My boyfriend will be attending grad school out there so there's not really a way that I an extend my employment. Will it be impossible for me to get a job out there?
  18. questions about MNP/DNP

Hello all, I have many questions! I am currently in a BSN program but plan on continuing on to NP school. I am looking into different programs now. My goal is to work in OB/GYN, either in the delivery room or in an office. I am getting confused be...
