Thanks for the info! Don't get discouraged. Someone in my class did the phone interview and hasn't heard anything yet, either. Maybe try calling them!?

Does anyone have any advice about the phone interview? I just got selected for ED and it's in 2 days!

I'm heading down to Galveston tomorrow to look for places to live..I'm considering having a room mate for financial reasons so if there are any females (clean, quiet, serious about nursing school, DOES NOT PARTY) who are looking to find a room mate, send me a private message.

Just wanted to let all you waitlisters know that last semester I got a call on the first day of classes that a spot had opened up and I was accepted into the program for Spring 2012. Don't give up, it's true you have a chance through the first day of the semester.

Thanks, he was very sick so we are glad he is no longer suffering. I did the interview over a year ago so I'm not completely sure if the process is the same. I heard that they chose the order of the interviews randomly but I could be wrong. They gave me a time and day for my interview but when I got there I had to wait for well over an hour before I got called, it was very nerve wracking! When I finally got called back it got a lot better. The woman who interviewed me more just talked to me instead of interview. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable, unlike some of the other interviews I had been to. Don't worry too much about it, they're really just wanting to get know you on a more personal level so they can see if you'd be a good fit for their school. They don't want to admit people who may not complete the program.

I got accpeted to the Spring 2012 semester but never received the email and lost my spot, they put me on the waiting list and on the first day of classes I received an email stating I could start that semester (someone didn't show up I guess and a spot became available). However, I live in Dallas and my dad had passed away exactly one month before I got the call so I talked to them and they agreed to let me start in the Fall instead because it was just too much all at once and it was going to be hard to move down there on such short notice.

Hey guys! I've been accepted to the Fall 2012 semester due to an error during the Spring 2012 semester acceptance letters. Can't wait to see who will be joining me and feel free ask me any questions about the process because I've been through it twice! Right now the biggest piece of advice I can give you during all of this is to make sure you are calling to follow up after each step of the process. I never received my acceptance email for reasons beyond any of us (it just never showed up even though they sent it) and they ended up giving my spot to someone else (hence why I've been accepted for the Fall!). Thanks everyone! I talked to them on Thursday and they have accepted me for the Fall 2012 semester..that means I have to wait a lot longer but it actually works a lot better with my current family situation as my dad deteriorates from cancer. Congrats to everyone who will be starting this spring and hopefully I may see some of y'all around next fall!! And for those that have been wait listed or rejected..DON'T GIVE UP! God knows the perfect time for this to happen to you, trust me I've been trying to get in somewhere for the past two years. Have patience and never give up!

Hey guys I just wanted to ask everyone on here for prayers and tell you my horror story about getting accepted but not knowing it. This Tuesday I received an email from the SON stating that I had been accepted the Spring 2012 semester but that I had missed the dealine to accept the offer and so my spot had been given to someone else. I NEVER RECEIVED THE EMAIL STATING I EVEN GOT ACCEPTED!! I have searched through my entire email account (spam, deleted messages, even drafts) and there is no email! They have agreed to put me on the waiting list so I need prayers that a miracle happens. And please be sure you are calling and checking MyStar everyday! I don't want this to happen to anyone else! Also, if you have a spot at UTMB and have already decided or if you do decide that you are not going to go there, if you could PLEASE call and tell them so they can get someone else in. Don't wait to just not show up for orientation. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted. OH and also they told me that they are full now and just interviewing for the waiting list.

I haven't applied to a single nursing school that has seemed organized.

I applied for Spring 2010 and I didn't get an invite until about September and the interview was in October. The earlier deadline might just be because they're getting more applicants and need more time to sort through them. I hope not though I'd really like to know soon!
