Hi NedRN, Thanks for your reply! My home address will be 200+ miles from my assignment. Will the stipend still be taxed? I was told otherwise by my recruiter.

So, I was quoted ~$2600/week, which includes $1400 housing stipend and $400 meals stipend. Is this a fair offer for Bay Area?

I realize this topic has been discussed in previous threads, but I noticed they were a little dated. :) I am planning on moving to San Jose and San Francisco area in the Fall, and was wondering what a fair pay would be in those areas for CVICU and ER nurses? As a first time traveler, I'm open to any helpful information and recommendations. Initially, I tried applying for staff positions (Stanford, UCSF, etc.), but have not heard back and started looking into travel nursing as an alternative option. Thank you in advance for any input! :)

Honestly, I could see myself at both schools. OHSU consisted of a smaller class size within a bigger university, and SMU, a larger class size within a smaller school (I only saw the nursing campus). Both had current students who spoke highly of the program.

It was a pleasant experience aside from my nerves. :) Panel was very nice, and a number of current students were present to answer any questions.

I'm trying so hard to keep myself occupied, and resist the urge to check my email every few minutes! XD

I know it hasn't been long since the OHSU interview, but has anyone heard anything? :)

I had some technical issues with my email, and was supposed to be notified by OHSU via email on the 20th. I got a call from the school some days later. Does anyone know what the interview questions are like (clinical vs. more personal)? I'd really appreciate any information. :)

Hello, everyone! Hope your week is going well! Just wondering if anyone has heard from SMU or OHSU regarding interviews? SMU did send out an email a month ago stating interview offers would be made by mid-January, so I'm checking my phone and email every hour.

I agree with the first commenter. It's happened before to me as well, although not from a manager. I've also had well-meaning, experienced nurses try to teach me things the incorrect way.

Hello everyone! I am in the process of applying to CRNA programs, and some require shadowing experience as a prerequisite. I tried UCLA and USC and was turned down due to security issues of having a non-employee in the OR. There are no CRNAs at the hospital I am employed at. I was wondering if there were any CRNAs willing to let me shadow them for a shift? I would be really grateful! Thank you for reading, and hope everyone's week goes well. :)

I also want to make some edits on my application and resubmit, but am afraid to do so. I am in the process of endorsing my license from another state, and forgot to include that on my application.

I've been checking on and off since midnight for the new grad RN positions to open. It appears as though the positions usually open around midnight (based on previous allnurses threads). Just wondering if if I'm the only one who can't seem to find the job posts? I've been up for the last 48 hours trying to reedit my resume and cover letter, so that is totally possible. :)
