  1. I'm so torn about what to do here any help would be appreciated!
  2. I'm currently working on a tele floor and thinking of making the switch to a pediatric clinic. Do you think working in a pediatric office is adequate experience for pursuing a degree as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner?
  3. I'm a new RN with approximately 6 months experience on a busy Tele floor. Recently I've been contacted about a position in a pediatric practice near me. They have all RNs, and one of their docs is in need of an RN. I'm going to meet with the office manager today. Ultimately, I hope to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. My concerns are: Do I need to finish out my one year of acute care experience? Is working in a pediatric office adequate experience to become a pediatric nurse practitioner? I've told myself I won't even consider this job if the pay cut is drastic, so this may not even end up being an issue....Thoughts?
  4. That's what I was afraid of. I think I'm better off getting the job I want in my hometown and branching out when I have more experience and I can better market myself. Thanks for the info!
  5. Hello! I'm an out of state RN new grad looking to relocate to the Chicago. I'm looking for information on the current job market there for new grads. What's it like in Chicago?
