So Frustrated I wanna cry
So I worked so hard to get my LPN license and It was South Carolina cause that is where i went to school. Well I live in Georgia and thought I could just fill out application and pay some money and have my GA license, turns out, they want me to work as an LPN for 500 hours in South Carolina. I havent gotten my license yet so I have never worked as an lpn. Not sure what to do now. I will be calling them Tues, but omg what if I cant get my Ga license now, I dont have the gas money to be travelling almost a hour to work in South Carolina. It also said that if I didnt have 500 hours I may have to take a refresher course in Ga.. Wth is that.. How much more money and more time do I have to wait. I was so happy for finally call myself a nurse and waiting for my License, just to now be dissapointed and wanting to cry.. adivce? encouragement please.. someone make me feel better

Qustion.. IV Certification
Ok I should be getting my LPN license in the mail soon. The question I have is. I want to have my IV certification, but I have worked in EMS for 8 years, as an intermediate, where I did start IV"S. PLus I took IV therapy in Nusing school (I took RN classes but failed last class) so I passed that class, will this be sufficiant or do I need to go to another class? I also started many ivs in nursing school..

Omg omg i passed nclex
Teeniebert, I was on that pearson vue websit almost every hour last night registering to make sure I was still getting the popup message. Then this morning I saw that my results were in but I had to register just incase something changed lol. They just paid my money and got my results, I closed my eyes and my husband grabbed me outta the chair hollering and hugging me so tight so I knew I passed. Even though they are no official results I still had to print it out so I could look at it all day. It still has no sank in. I keep saying "when I become a nurse...." lol I AM A NURSE lol wow feels weird to say that. Khobson, I studied HurstReview with the author Marlene, I read that book 4 times cover to cover and did over 1000 questions I also read Nclex PN for dummies and read that book twice. To me that test was aweful. There were things on there I had no idea about, such as some kind of ultrasound machine I had no idea. and then there were a few meds. What ticked me off the most as some answers didn't make sense to me at all, they just didn't go with what I would have done. I felt like I guessed on most of that test. When that test shut off at 85 questions I started to panic thinking I failed for sure. I am going go to go onto my RN. I went straight through school but I was going through divorce, marriage, new house, moving a family death and I stayed with my dog for 9 days while she was dying trying everything meds etc till we had to put her down, So I Failed my Last Class which was Critical Care by 1.4 Points. YEP ONE POINT FOUR POINTS..... fought like hell to graduate as an RN but teacher wouldnt have it.. I couldnt get back in school cause I also lost my job cause I broke my foot, so I didn't have the money for tuition.. so I decided to take my LPN. But I will still fight and still go on.. Khobson. Good luck to you. Please let me know how you did.. write me anytime

Omg omg i passed nclex
I was so scared thrusday and I kept doing the PV test thingy but it didn't ease my anxiety much. I have cried and threw up for the last 2 days. My test shut off at 85 questions and I felt I didn't know anything. It was the worst 2 days of my life. I looked at my quick results today and I PASSED.... I AM A NURSE. I worked so hard to get here, through many nights of studying, crying, yelling, throwing my books lol.. Good luck to everyone.. Now on to try and find a job

Need help with LPN scope of practice
Hi all, I need to find the South Carolina scope of practice for Lpns. I have looked everywhere and I cant find a list of them. I need this for my the rest of my application. I failed my last RN class by 1.4 points and could not get back in so I am having to just take my LPN right now till I can take the rest of my classes online to become an RN. Anyways the application states I need a statement of familiarity with LPN practice requirements in South Carolina........ any help would be appreciated
