  1. I went today around 12:30 and spoke with someone in admissions. She told me to improve my chances I would have to come to CCHS in the fall and make A's in all of my classes. That would make my application more competitive, but of course she can't make any guarantee that will be enough for them to look past my previous bad gpa. You have been more than helpful. I would love to talk to you about how some of your pre-professional classes, like their difficulty or which teachers I should take.. Any feedback would be great! Thanks!
  2. I spoke with someone on the phone today and I think I am going to go in tommorow to talk to an admission counselor. See here is my problem, my college gpa is not so good, below a 3.0. I was accepted to the pre-professional program. I am wondering if I come in and make all A's in my classes( I am really determined at this point), will that be good enough to be accepted to the nursing program? Or will my college gpa come back to haunt me forever.
  3. Yes I have a few more questions. I guess the reason that I didn't get in is because my college gpa was not high enough. Let's say I decide to do the pre professional program for the fall and I make all A's in my classes such as anatomy 1 and 2 and microbiology. Does this greatly increase my chances of getting in? Also when can you apply for a change of major?
  4. I also got my letter today but did not get good news. They did say however that I meet the admission requirments for the Associate in Science Degree. Is it easier to take classes at CCHS and then chnage your major to get into the program? I am so lost at what I need to do.
  5. Thanks you have been more than helpful. I feel so lost when it comes to my options in getting into a program. So can you apply to the pre-professional program at anytime or are there deadlines like their are for the ADN program?
  6. Oh one more question for ama8215, What is your major now? Before you applied for the ADN program?
  7. Thanks that was really helpful. Do you know how many slots they offer for the pre-nursing program? I would be happy to get into that program because from what I understand is that if you make a B or higher in the required courses than you are guaranteed admission for the following semester.
  8. I don't think they mailed them out when they said they did. I have been going crazy this week waiting for the letter. Does anyone know if it helps if you have a batchelor's? If I am not accepted I am considering just finishing my degree at UNCC and then appyling again.
  9. Ok, I feel a little bit better knowing that it is not just me without a letter. I was starting to think it got lost in the mail. Is is possible for them to tell you their decision over the phone?
  10. Are you guys referring to Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. If so I was told that they were mailed on the 15th, but I still haven't received anything yet. I also live in Charlotte and can't understand why it is taking this long. I am so anxious to hear back from the school! I have been stalking the mailman everyday for a week now.
