Hi can anyone help me find an attorney in Western PA? I have been in the VRP for almost 3 years. I recently took my dog's phenobarbital accidently and now the board is threatening to take my license. I already lost my job over this. I just celebrated 3 years of sobriety April 8, 2011. My recovery means everything to me. In the 3 years, I never missed work, was never late and got great evaluations. And making one simple unintentional error, I feel my life is over. Also, I was thinking about going to school to be a vet technician but will I be able to obtain a license? Thanks for any advice.

I too need help. I have been involved with the VRP in Pennsylvania for 3 years. I was supposed to be finished in September. My dog takes phenobarbital for seizures and after working 11 out of 12 days I got up at 4:30am to give it to her at her prescribed time and accidently took it myself because I was so exhausted and not completely awake. I immediately disclosed this to the board, I was terminated from my job of 11years and now the board is threatening me to turn me over to the disciplinary board. I don't want my license to be tagged for the rest of my life. Do I have a case?
