Hey Nickymad1, I think I may know who you are..... did you sit at the desk in front of our instructor's desk during core? I am in the the left side row (if facing front class) second desk left chair.....LOL....Was John in Core? I dont know everyones name. I know I am not looking forward to that lab at all. Should be interesting. We also have a lab the 15th, I think we are feeding each other...LOL.... cuz on the sch it says to bring pudding or yogurt! HAHAHA that should be interesting too :)

Oh, and I finally got my BLS out of the way. What a relief to get that done :) I did go over to bookstore and I asked about trying on uniforms. We are allowed to try them on before we buy them :)

Hey Nickymad1 !!!! I think I was there Mon or Tues, LOL. I am not sure how long it will take, I hope it doesnt take too long. Yes, I will def see you Fri. I cant believe it is almost here!! Do you have any idea how long orientation will last?

Hey Nickymad1, So they may change our book list? I wonder if it is to newer editions?? It seems that they are changing a lot for our class. LOL. That is odd that we cant try on uniforms. I guess I will be buying one set to make sure they fit before I buy anymore. I was gonna get 2 or 3??? Guess I wont be wasting the gas to make a trip over to the school yet? I remembered, the lady @ fin aid told me that things changed for fin aid this school year as far as documentation. That could explain the back up at the fin aid office?? I wonder if our money will even get to the school in time to register and get books & supplies.... I think we should prepare ourselves for plenty of waits at the school when we go to the bookstore and fin aid in Oct, we may be waiting a while :) Thanks you so much for keeping me updated with info, I really appreciate it!!

Praying01, HI! No, I didnt get a private msg. Very strange. I even logged out and logged back in (I have AN on my phone & I am always logged on, LOL). I sent you a private msg as a test to see if it would work. I am glad that classes are going good. When did you finally start? I bet you are so happy to finally start!!! Thanks again for the info & the Nurse Orderly books. I am def gonna look into those. I have actually picked up some used books on half.com just to have as extra reference, like the made incredibly easy books, for like .75 cents! Couldnt pass that up :)

I know it is overwhelming......thinking about everything. You can go to the browars school website, browardschools.com & get the school calendar. McFatter follows that. I already had it cuz my kids are in a broward county school. Did you know that we will get a whole week off for Thanksgiving? The BCSB just changed it from the 3 days to the whole week!! :) If you cant find the calendar let me know & I can email it to you. Praying01 got her uniforms, but I know the feeling of wanting to see them in person. LOL. I asked her about the collar (pp), like the teal ones, luckily there is no collar on the new ones :)

Hey Nickymad1, Wow, thats not good about fin aid. I had to call them again cuz I hadn't heard back from them & it had been like 2wks. They still didnt have my info & she needed 2 find out why it hadnt come back yet. She did end up calling back (I think) the next day & they finally got it. I was gonna make a trip over there next week, just working on getting more papers together that she told me I needed on top of the other stuff. LOL. I can imagine that it is crazy over there. But the lady I spoke to never mentioned coming in Oct??? I asked to make appt & she said walk ins Mon - Thurs, Fri appt only. That is weird.... Mid Oct??? I hope we dont have to wait till then. We have to register on the 24. That means paying that day...... Thanks for updating me! I was wondering where u've been :) I will let you know any info I get when I go over there next week.

Hey Praying01, Where did you send me a message? I didnt get one, that I know of LOL.... @Julcha.... I dont have one either. I also studied from the McGraw Hill Nursing School Entrance Exam (I think that is the full title) and the Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam. Both went into more detail with the Science sections. Good Luck on the TEAS :)

Hi Praying01, I can not tell you how much I appreciate all the info you have been giving me Thank you again!! So you get a little more time until you officially start?? That is cool. I guess that is why they are asking for the BLS to be done, LOL. Please tell me the new scrubs are like regular scrubs w/no collar?? I didnt plan on going up to the school until I heard from financial aid, which reminds me, I havent heard from them. I am gonna have to call them. I try not to go over to the school unless I have to being it takes me almost a 1/2hr to get there. The bookstore will give us the booklist and suggested supplies then? I think I might end up just getting my books by the block.... Whatever info you can send me, I will take. Whenever you have time. I know things must be hectic for you right now with waiting to start school & working. (You said in an earlier post that you are working and will be working during the program, right?) I can send you a msg with my email now that I have 15 post. I think that is the # of post you have to have before you can msg someone??

Hi Praying01, Thanks for the list. I appreciate it The BLS is on the letter to have, but when I spoke to the school they said it would be better to have it before school started??? I feel the same way.... it is already worked into the program. I feel like they should have that as a req with new ppl applying for the program, but that is my thought, LOL. I dont blame you, I know in these hard times every little bit helps, esp if you dont qualify for any fin aid. Have you been able to make it to the bookstore? Oh, did you ever find out about stethoscope? Do we need to get a watch? Thanks so much for all the info, you have help calm my nerves

I was planning on doing the BLS too, DeAnna says it is not really required but would gives us more time on other training?? I wish I only had to do the renewal like you, prob cheaper :) When I spoke w/fin aid they told me things changed this year. She told me we need: HS Diploma Transcripts (didnt say what transcripts) Taxes for this year 1040 tax return & your pin I am worried about fin aid too, I do not have the money to put out for all the fee's & such. Hopefully fin aid goes smoothly for us. I would much rather get everything and be prepared then to only get a little at a time. If/when I get a call back from fin aid, I will let you know. I havent gotten far w/it being that they cant even pull up my FASA info, but hopefully they get that info soon!! I may end up making a trip over to the school too I want to find out what books we're gonna need. I think they will give a book list??? Maybe they have the new scrubs out & we can see what they look like? Yes, NOV is right around the corner.... kinda nervous....
