  3. Hi everybody! I am a RN who works in critical care with an ADN and am working on finishing my BSN. In one of my current classes, we need to correspond with an international nurse (even a nurse who has practiced in another country would be fine) about their nursing experiences outside the US. I haven't had much luck finding anyone to fit this profile in southeast Iowa. If anyone would give me some information about your nursing experience in another part of the world I would love to hear from you. Thanks!
  4. Hi everybody! I am a RN with an associate degree and am currently in classes to finish my BSN. I work in Critical Care in the southeast part of Iowa. One of my many assignments for my class right now is to correspond with an international nurse about their nursing experience where they live. As you can imagine there isn't a lot of cultural diversity where I live. I would love to hear from anybody about what its like to be a nurse where you are. Thanks!
  5. I am a critical care nurse. I do not typically gag easily, but every once in a while I come across smells that are just too much. Pressing your tounge against the roof of your mouth is effective for some. We also keep peppermint oil in our department - a little dab under the nose will drown out most things.
