No that's not my reason for wanting to be M.d. My reason is that I don't want to spend my whole life being ordered around by doctors. I want more autonomy in patient care. But the idea that I have to spend another 10 years in school, without earning for myself, is really scary.
Hi. I just want people's opinion on my dilemma. I am a nurse obviously. But I am so confused which path to take: Medicine or furthering my nursing career. I have always wanted to be a doc and feel like god. But now I don't think I can depend on my parents for another 10 years. Yes I want to be a doc but what I need is to be practical and to fulfill my social responsibility of earning for myself and contributing to society at the same time. In my country there are a lot of doctors who want to be nurses cos nurses abroad earn more in a month than doctors here make in a year. That's my dilemma. If you were in my place which would you choose? Thank you.
