I think this is a good school but the acceptance part is kind of sketchy to me. I know people who have gotten in with a very very low gpa. They just did the usual "there were many qualified applicants." There was no interview just a application, 2 references, and TEAS test (which is simple). I think they favor people who have gone to school their for pre nursing like any other school. The only thing about the school is the costs.

I got my letter in the mail. I wasn't accepted. Guess its just not my time. Good luck hopefully you got yours in the mail too!

So she won't even be there tomorrow? but Tuesday? I hate this waiting game. She told me if I didnt get it in the mail by tomorrow to call her but I guess not if she won't be there. Maybe it will show up in the mail before then!

I know! Im so stressed out over this. At least we know we're from the same area so that's probably something to do with it.

They should resend them to the people in our area. It should take two days tops.

I was literally freaking out when I didn't get it today cause you said she told you we should get it by today. Knowing my luck it either was lost or I didn't fill something out right. I want to know now so I can get enrolled in summer of fall classes at kck.

Jessi Turner. I graduated from hs in missouri and went to MU. I moved here about a year ago so I don't know many people. I have a previous degree with not that great of a GPA 3.0. I'm almost finished with all the pre reqs if I take summer classes (been doing them at KCKCC). So I figured I'd give it a try for next semester. I'm really doubting I'm getting in going up against all these excellent students with great GPA's like you. I'm near positive you will be accepted with what I've been hearing from other students accepted! Have you heard of anyones GPA thats been accepted?!

But I'm not sure how they do their acceptance. I don't know if it's the point system or what they really look at. I know its not by GPA only. But I'm sure you have your stuff together with a decent GPA.

No but I think they went there for pre nursing and one didnt have a great gpa. I believe someone got accepted last year with under a 3.0 gpa. I wonder how many were accepted. Idk if there is a waitlist or not. Good luck!!! I'm sure you don't have anything to worry about!

They live in KC though and thats where the mail is sent directly so thats why they got theirs first. Should be the next few days depending on where you live.

Yesterday and today

I heard of four girls getting their letters. Earlier than expected. Nothing in the mail for me yet. I'm so nervous!!!!!

Don't worry about not getting into those schools. They are very competitive with GPA. Just because you have a great grade point average doesn't mean you will be a great nurse. They should test common sense! lol Half the girls have no clue what they get themselves into. SM works with the same hospitals for clinicals as they do! People just don't know much about it cause it is such a small private school and very expensive and what not. Which will only work to our advantage. Having such a small class could be helpful. But then again they don't accept many people. I believe no matter what school you go to as long as it is accredited you will make out of it what you can and learn the same things as every other school. I don't think its just a learning experience but also a growing experience. You can't learn to be passionate or caring. You determine how good of a nurse you are. Not your school. :) Just remember that and stay positive.
