  1. Wow, these prices really vary...CCL RN, do you recall if you were tested for 10 things? That's the only factor I can think of for the price differences I've found besides whether the company comes on-site or not. And thanks for you guys responses
  2. Yeah, I thought it was unfair for us to have to pay too...there's only been a couple of people I've heard of that have gotten kicked out for drugs, but that's been it from our entire program, not just my class. And with my program, we didn't have to do an initial test, there was only the clause stating testing would be done if someone acted suspiciously, etc. so maybe that's why it was changed, since there wasn't really any regular testing to begin with.
  3. Thanks for the responses guys, hopefully more will post though... Drugs arent the issue, but money definitely is....I asked the head of nursing yesterday and she didn't know, which shows me how unorganized my program is b/c it's been a few months since they made this change in our drug screening policy and they still don't have a clue a/b price and I'm sure they'll be wanting money for it soon enough. I also called the company my school is using and the lady on the phone said to ask someone at my school, so that's what lead me here.....I've searched on this site pretty extensively and some posts said anywhere from 80 to 100 dollars which I can NOT afford. So I'm hoping it's more along the lines of what lmg23 stated...
  4. I'm new to this site, so I'm hoping I can get some feedback. I'm currently in nursing school and our program has told us they are starting random drug screening and it will be at our cost, but they haven't disclosed how much we will be expected to pay for each test. Money is VERY tight for me, and since the testing is random, I'm guessing we won't have much advance given to come up with the money, so my question is what was/is the cost of a drug screen for you guys? I know it is a urine test through a lab and tests for 10 things, so if this is how you were tested, please let me know how much you were charged per screening.
