Wake Tech or JCC? (2nd degree student)
Thanks for the helpful info! Do you happen to have an email for nursing admissions at JCC where I could send some questions I've thought of recently? Also, what does it mean by no challenging the exam? I've seen that on various websites... does it just mean I don't have to take the exam?

RN to BSN when I already have a BS?
I wish I could start taking my pre-reqs now rather than my freshman year of college when I was not sure of how to study/manage my time and got some pretty sorry grades (mainly B's and C's)! I hadn't thought of doing an RN to MSN but that sounds more like what I want to do because I was planning on getting my masters eventually anyway!

Wake Tech or JCC? (2nd degree student)
I'm currently attending Ohio State Univ but will be moving back home with my parents after receiving my BS in Human Nutrition. I hope to attend either JCC or Wake Tech to become an RN through their ADN program. Ideally I would be attending an ABSN program, but my GPA is only a 3.0 so I am setting my sights a little lower on just a regular RN degree. Does anyone know how to check transfer credits to either of these schools? Such as an online site? Or would my best bet just be sending my transcript and inquiring? I have taken ALL of the classes that are pre-reqs for a nursing degree so I would really like to just jump on in to the nursing program and get started with the rest of my life! Has anyone attended Wake Tech or JCC for the ADN program? What were your experiences like? Were any of you 2nd degree students? Thanks :)

RN to BSN when I already have a BS?
I want to do an ABSN program following my graduation from OhioSU but will probably have to settle for an RN program at the local community college instead due to a low GPA. I will be graduating in June 2012 with a BS in Human Nutrition and Community Health. I was just wondering if anyone had ever completed an RN to BSN program after already having a BS? If I did the RN to BSN program at OSU most of my credits would already be accepted for the GEC's, so wouldn't I just have to take the nursing classes (there's only a few each semester)? Please let me know if you were considering this option or you have actually done/are doing this yourself!

ABSN or RN??
Forgot to mention that my pre-req GPA is a 3.05. But I plan on retaking Anatomy which, assuming I get at least an A-, will bring my GPA up to a 3.30 or better. I also have done really well on my practice GRE and TEAS (I have always been good at standardized testing lol...what a useful skill). Also, since OSU is on quarters does anyone have experience with how those courses transfer over to semester schools? And another question! Does anyone recommending taking a year off after I graduate from OSU and getting my CNA (which is a requirement for most of the schools anyway) and working as a CNA for about 6 months before applying to ABSN programs to help my application?

ABSN or RN??
Some background about myself and my education... I'm finishing up my junior year at Ohio State and as of now I have a 3.075 GPA. I'm a human nutrition major and I have always been interested in healthcare but after a rough start my freshman year, there was no chance of me getting accepted into OSU's extremely competitive nursing school. So here I am, wanting to go to an ABSN program. I will only be applying to schools in NC (my hometown where I can get in-state tuition!) and perhaps UW-Osh's online ABSN program. My number one choice is Duke. As the date draws nearer and nearer to start buckling down and getting my applications all together, I am getting worried. I don't think that I will get accepted into any of the ABSN schools. I'm starting to consider becoming an RN instead. Which leads me to another issue: will I be able to complete an RN to BSN program even faster since I will already have a BS? Just looking for some insight...if you went to a NC ABSN program, I would love to hear your "stats" (GPA, test scores, etc). And if you went to an RN program despite already having a BS, I would like to know why you chose that route instead of doing an ABSN or 2nd degree nursing program. Thanks in advance :)
