  1. BSN to PhD

    I am a second semester junior right now. Although I enjoy the clinical aspect of nursing, I realize I don't want to work by the bedside for my entire career. I also don't think I want to become an NP. I told this to my adviser. She recommended that I apply right into a PhD program. I don't have any experience as a nurse, so I was wondering how this would work. What are my chances of getting into a PhD program? And what type of career can I have besides research and teaching with a PhD? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
