Hey all- I'm trying to start a current thread for the job opportunities for RNs in the Miami area. My girlfriend and I will be relocating to the Miami area in roughly a year and a half. By then my girlfriend will have finished the direct entry RN program at Simmons College up in Boston. My only worry is that all you hear from the Florida area is bad news when it comes to job opportunities. Most jobs we've found for the Miami area hospitals have asked for a year of experience. What's the best way for her to get that experience if everyone asks for it? How strict are they when it comes to that experience? Also what are the best hospitals or other job opportunities offered in the Miami area. I'll be working in the Doral area and would be more than willing to make a tough commute anywhere if that opens up some opportunities for her. Pretty much I'm looking for any sort of guidance.
