  1. okay so i'm in my first semester of a 2 year college, and im starting off as liberal and eventually am going to nursing. even though i still have some time. i always think of things ahead of time, i have always had in interest in the medical field but never was sure of what area i wanted to do, i've had the idea for the longest of being a RN but i'm a little undecided on it for the simple facts of the high stress factors of being a RN and dealing with patients, blood vomit ect.. i went to my 1st sonogram ever with my sister who is pregnant:yeah:, the sonogram really caught my interest it was so exciting and amazing to see it, although the lady who was doing it was really quiet, dull and non explanatory and i thought to myself that if i was her i would be so happy and detailed in information for the patient. so now im thinking that i want to go into that area.... i heard it is hard to find a job and that they do not make much money? (i live in NY and planning to stay in NY) is this true? should i go for RN or should i go for a program specifically for my second choice? i would really appreciate the feedback!! thank you
  2. Yes i heard LCC wasnt good, i never went to visit jst by looking at it when i was in the 7 train i didnt like it lolol i ended up choosing qcc just finished a summer class, i like the college so far only thing that sucks is the admissions office if you dont take care and be on top of your billing accounts and all that stuff theyll try to rob u for ur $$ lol but other then tht the college is fine bayside area is lovely and ppl are quiet.
  3. From what i understand all nursing programs are competitive lol so either way theres no easy way out. I ended up picking queensborough :) thank you for commenting.
  4. Thank you guys for answering. I made queensborough my final choice. I liked the feel of queens once i had went to visit the campus and heard good reviews about the school from others. And im actually going next week to schedule my classes for fall semester :chair:

  6. Yes ive been accepted to all 3 colleges the closest to me is the bronx its like 25-30 mins away and queens is about an hour away which i dont mind the commute im not worried about that all that matters to me is if the college will benefit me or not. I was aiming towards queensborough but i also wanted to hear other people's opinions about it, but ill take your vote on qcc :)
  7. I cant find it i clicked on region and then NY but it just takes me to other ppls post
  8. Im new to this site how would i do that? And thank you :)
  9. Okay so ive decided that im going to start off at a two year CC my 3 choices are queensborough CC Laguardia CC and Bronx CC . Does anyone know of these schools and which one i should go to? I heard queensborough has a good nursing department better then laguardia CC and bronx CC.... Im having trouble deciding where i should go and i have to make my decision before may 1st What do you think?!?
  10. Okay so if i do get accepted to lehman i should take CNA classes in the summer? And then liberal classes in the fall for when i start?
  11. Oh okay, so you think it would be wise of me to start with CNA and then if i like it move up nd do LPN etc.. "take small steps"... And also how is the shool overall besides the nursing part ive visted a few months ago they have a very nice campus. how are the people there, the teachers etc..
  12. When did you attened lehman?
  13. I want to thank you all so much for replying to my post i really appreciate it i will take baby steps try out CNA and see where it goes from there im only 17 turning 18 so i have enouHh time to decide lol.. If anyone knows about the colleges that i mentiond. How would i be able to get into CNA? in any of those colleges. Thanks.
  14. I dont know im really unsure now, i wouldnt mind working in a hospital where you take the patients vital signs and all. Maybe i should take it slow look at CNA first see how i like it and then if i decide to the point where i say okay this is what im going to do and stick with and move higher. Or maybe working with tecnology as a nurse i dont know yet what area i would like.
