  1. Hello All, Does anyone have a list of the IV's that LPN's can hang, a "cheat sheet" of some sort, because it is kind of a hassle to keep asking my co-workers about which ones I can and which ones I can't. Also, if you any more "cheat sheets" that you find useful, please send it to me. I'm a fairly new LPN and I tape these sheets to my clip board! Makes my day a little easier....... Thanks, sfgibson
  2. Please allow me to give you some words of encouragement.... I have 4 sons, ages 3, 5, 11 and 14. I worked during the day ,40 hours a week and went to school in the evenings. I love nursing and this is what I wanted to do with my life. I am 31 years old and had my first baby at age 15. I was a young single black mom and yes, many people thought that I wouldn't graduate from highschool. I was not going to be a statistic. Now, I am an LPN working in a hospital and my patients thank me for doing simple things for them. At the end of the day, I feel like I have made a difference in someone's life....and thats what its all about! I don't know what your faith is, but I know that God has blessed me to come this far and if you ask him, he will do it for you. The school that I went to also had a valedictorian, who was a young, single black mom with seven children (2 sets of twins)!!! You can do this if you have the will and desire in your heart. Don't let anyone tell you that it is too hard to do with children and a full-time job. Hope this helped, [email protected]

  6. Hi There! I'm looking to relocate to Florida with my family. I have a husband and four boys. How are the jobs for LPN's? Where are the best cities to work in? Also, are LPN's paid more in long term, clinics or hospitals there? I am also interested in kid-friendly cities. Thanks
  7. Hello, I just wanted to say "hello" to everyone and introduce myself. I'm sfgibson and I am a LPN student. I am married and I have four boys.
