  1. So I've been a nurse for about seven years and it certainly isn't puppies and rainbows. Firstly, don't feel bad about feeling bad. I struggle with similar feelings to this day. Secondly, don't quit nursing. You'd be doing yourself a disservice. There are a million and one options for you in this field. That doesn't mean going into a provider role right away either by the way. It doesn't mean enrolling in NP school is the right choice right now because you don't have enough experience or know how yet. But don't see yourself short. This career demands so much from you physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. I don't think any other profession can match that. But keep in mind, if you don't like the demand of that patient load, think ICU; if you don't like acute care, think doctors office (derm, fertility clinic, etc.), if you like forensics then get SANE certified and focus on sexual abuse victims. If you love drowning in paperwork then consider case management or legal nurse consulting ($$). You worked hard for that degree and there was a reason you did it. Don't give up on it now!
  2. OMG!!!! Now you're getting my hopes up!!! I just hope that it is a GUARANTEE!!!!!!! And thanks for the congrats!!!... let's just hope it's not too soon!!!!!
  3. Thanks! I'm trying all I can to not go totally crazy!:redbeathe
  4. OMG, OMG... I just took the NCLEX-RN in NY this morning. I had 75 questions, and I was literally confident about maybe two. It felt as though my whole test was "who would you see first," "select all that apply," and "pharmacology." I am not worried that I failed, I am convinced. I knew nothing. I am so devastated... The ONLY glimmer of hope is that I got the "good" pop-up when I tried the Pearson Vue trick. To be honest, I can't say I even believe that I could have passed... it was soooo hard. And to boot, I spent the rest of my morning trying to look up questions in my text, only to realize... I got them wrong for sure. Is it worth going crazy? Or should I just feel good that I wasn't asked for my credit card information?
