  1. Hello Fellow Scripps threader...lol Today was a real bummer but I too applied to SHARP! We shall keep our fingers crossed :) Maybe this hospital will work out better for us :) Just to answer one of the previous stated ?s I am in the inland empire, went to LVN school in SD and RN school in Ontario.
  2. *sigh* 02/25/2011registered nurse - new grad residency training program(2047)no longer under consideration....
  3. This is what is so hard about new grad programs. If you get rejected you dont get any real feedback as to why!!! For me, I can assume it is because I dont officially have my BSN ( I am currently enrolled in a program) BUT, I was a LVN prior, I am working as a RN Case Manager with EVERY Cert in the book ( ACLS, PALS, NRP, BLS, MAB, Fire Safety for hospitals, IV, ect....)! 1500 clinical hours, 200 hours medical related volunteer time, I even did a clinical rotation at Scripps!!!! I am mostly FRUSTERATED that I spent over a hour talking to my interviewer who did NOT have the final say in the decision to get hired. UGHHHHH! It doesnt make any sense??? Toni should have interviewed us!
  4. I just recieved my rejection email as wel! good luck everyone!
  5. O wow I did not know this! Ill take it! Do you know how many they need for that program?
  6. Good news everyone I talked to the rep covering for toni and he said they are still giving offers through the week and all of us will know yes or no by next week. *sigh* well im praying for all of us and hoping for the best. I also asked if the unit and location I interviewed for is filled. He said it doesn't matter when we interviewed we are being considered for all units and locations.
  7. Ok see I interviewed with someone different. Im just bummed right now. I just want to know and if its a no id rather grieve now and get over it. I messaged toni but she still hasn't gotten back to me
  8. Danibirdrn I interviewed with acute medical encinitas. Did oncology have a hr rep as well.
  9. I agree! I feel like I should have sent my thankyou for the interview card to HR and interviewer. Its so bad but I can't help myself, i am going over everything I said and did and rationalizing if it was a good idea. I seriously need to stop. I guess what I am really struggling with is I felt I had a phenomenal interview. We talked like we knew eachother for years. Infact we talked for over an hour. Its almost heart breaking to feel like you made such a great rapport with someone and then the decisions is passed to a group of people who have never met you. I guess for me I will be mainly judged on paper and not as much on my personality and knowledge. Sorry everyone, I am just venting I am usually a very positive person.
  10. Any news anyone? I got an email from the person who interviewed me (non unit manager) and it stated that HR are the ones who will make the final hiring decision. So those of you who interviewed with someone other than a unit manager I am assuming they gave their recommendations to Toni and her team to make the final choice. Ughhhhh I wish I would just know a yes or no! I don't know about you guys but I have been a stress ball.
  11. Hey there everyone! Happy Sunday :) let's us know if anyone gets a call today! I know calls were made yesterday to some lucky people. Let's see what today brings
  12. Congrats to all the new hires! That's an amazing accomplishment. I am happy for you all. As for me, im still waiting. Checking my email and vm lke it doesn't work or something lol. Words of encouragement to the ones who haven't recieved a call yet, including myself. Keep your head up high. Its truly in Gods hands and He has us in the best place we could be. We might need to learn a few things along the way but our dreams are not lost! I know we all would be lucky to have Scripps as an employer BUT remember Scripps would be lucky to have anyone of us as nurses for their hospital. I don't know you guys but I can read the compassion, heart, and dedication in all your posts! If this doesn't work out there is something better out there for us. As for the new hires if we don't make it through please keep up posted on your scripps new grad journey. I am eager to see how it goes for you all. Hopefully I can share the experience but if not im rooting for you guys
  13. Omg omg that made my night and weekend. So did you email Toni? That's amazing news.
  14. Mine says app review as well. I interviewed with encinitas medical acuted. Anyone know anybody who got offers from encinitas?
  15. Fyi: the HR person who interviewed me also stated you can look back on the scripps website and see if your application is still under review or not selected. Just a heads up.
  16. That's so funny you said that sarahlt, im sitting in my car in outside of the gym. I was hoping for an endorphin release as well lol. I know God has a plan which is obviously better than my own desires but sometimes its hard. I would agree with everyone that working with all you guys would have been a great experience. Maybe the ones who didn't get called will be blessed with a surprise call over the weekend. As of now, I haven't received a denial email or phone call.
  17. Whoooo hoooo congrats intime! I am seriously excited for you! That is so amazing and im sure deserved it. Let us know details what unit and location? Seems like Mercy is on a roll hiring up everyone :)
  18. I tried to call Toni the recruiter but I got vm and I also emailed her and my interviewer...no response! Trying to stay positive.....
  19. Omg I can't concentrate at work! I broke down I emailed them, hope that wasn't a bad thing.......I know this is important to all of us! Can the ones who got called please give us more info? What units, location? Ect... please
  20. i totally agree! tomorrow we will know. i just wish they could have said yes or no on the day of the interview. i have been a slave to my phone, it’s kind of getting ridiculous. not to mention, the interviewers have to recognize the same old reheorificed lines in a interview. i would imagine ones true colors coming through in a tactful, professional way during a interview would be refreshing. i feel anyone can tell someone what they want to hear. i was happy they used mostly behavioral style questions instead of situational questions. those ones always make me nervous. i was talking to a few other girls at the interview and some flew in from sf, florida, riverside, ect... crazy! i was also told they interviewed 300 people. is this true? ok i think i talked myself into a glass of wine now
  21. SunnyRN, Very True! Great online support group. Sometimes I find myself checking my phone to make sure it still works:anbd: But, tomorrow is a new day filled with plenty of time for HR to call us!
  22. Carreont: Ok, it is nice to talk to someone who interviewed with same person. How did you feel it went? SooperDooper: Thanks, congrats again!
  23. @SunnyRN I interviewed with the person who created the new grad program, not the manager. What about you? Did you interview with medical acute/ encinitas?
  24. SOOPERDOOPER, Congrats:w00t: That is such an accomplishment to become a SCRIPPS Nurse!!!!!!!! That is awesome. If you dont mind me asking what is your backround? (Where did you go to nursing school? Do you have a medical backround?) I am just curious what a desired new grad candidate looks like :)
  25. hi everyone! i can’t tell you how relieved i am to see others freaking out like myself!!! i interviewed wed with medical acute- encinitas. i felt it went really well but i have not gotten a call or email yet i do wish the best to everyone. does anyone know if medical acute positions have been offered at encinitas to friends or yourselves? let me know the suspense is killing me............
