  1. Karlyac, I used work references for both of mine. I know they want at least one of them to be from an employer. As for the letter of intent, there wasn't too much criteria except for it to be no longer than 2 pages doubled sided. BCIT gave us about 3 weeks to get everything submitted. I am getting pretty excited to start the program especially now that it's less than a month away!
  2. I got notification that I was short listed around mid-March. Then I had to submit 2 references and a letter of intent. You're right that there isn't an interview. Then BCIT gave the final results at the end of April. I applied with a bachelor's degree from UBC. I didn't have any hospital experience but I did have experience working with children for 2 years. I only have my first year English and a 2nd year Sociology class that was transferable from UBC. I hope this helps! :)
  3. Hi smiley65 and karlyac, I just wanted to let you guys know I was in your position not too long ago. I applied to BCIT in January for the August 2011 intake and the wait has been brutal but I finally received good news in April so just hang in there! Let me know if you guys have any questions :)
  4. Congratulations green_tea! that is amazing news. I too am in the same boat as Srama and am waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully we get good news soon :)
  5. Hi Srama, I also applied for the August intake and have yet to hear back from them. The wait is making me anxious too :S
