  1. Im a Medical Assistant, not certified. Im wanting to do this online. I want to be an RN Im not getting younger so would like to go the quickest route. Im very experienced now over 10 years. Do you think it would be faster to just do the RN and get it done and over? Or Do the LPN and work as one while doing the RN. Either way I want to get the RN done within 2years if possible. And figured that getting the LPN isnt where I want to stay so thought going all out and do the RN online and what I cant go do else where would be the thing to do. Would appreciate some remarks on those that did it either way. And if you were sorry you did it the way you did.And any other tips that will help me decide. Im so ready to get this done!! I was married and my ex wouldnt let me finish school, so now we are done and older I can finally finish my dream! Thank you all so much, I can't wait to read your remarks!:stdnrsrck:
  2. I can't imagine how bad this must be. But you cant put a bandaide on it and make it better. If you do find a school that will take you I must say you will have to be on your game 100% You may not get anymore chances. You might try and see if the school dismissing you will give you a letter , the worse they can say is 'no'. Then you will be no worse off. What you did right or wrong , did it or not, I hope you learned something. Because when you get to the real world and working on patients there will be no room for errors. And those dismissals are far harder and possibly an end to your license or a suspended one. So contact the school and see if they will give you a letter and hopefully you will find another school. Or like someone else said you may have to start from scratch...or from where you started here. I wish you luck, Focus on the Moment, Not on Your Mistakes.
  3. Well the best to you on your new journey! You may go to a place you think you might like to work, local hospital and make an appt. with the Human Resourses Dept. and tell them what you are studying and maybe they can show you around or give you a clearer picture of each of the areas. Im sure you will do great. And if they are like the hospitals here you can rotate out after a certain amount of time. But which ever you do I wish you well ! .............Cathy
