I wanted to say hi to nurses in the NICU, I am a mom to a former 23 week preemie born at Good Sam in Cincy... she was cared for in the most wonderful way and transferred to children's at 4 1/2 months of age for a tracheostomy, she had bilateral grade 4 bleeds w/o any swelling, no need for a shunt, she has recovered from the bleed 100% no signs, no damage, doing awsome. She recently went through reconstruction of her airways and had her trach removed over at Children's and is doing awsome, she is walking, talking (kind of) and a true miracle. I give much thanks to all the nurses caring for her at Good Sam, if it weren't for you all, she wouldn't be here special thanks to Kathy and Tammy ( you know who baby Alexandra Workman is ) I wanted to share with you my thanks and if you could help other parents I and a good 42 of my friends have created a website and support forum for moms of preemies, I know maybe this is the wrong place to do this? but I only hope to inspire other moms and help them through the support of other preemie moms going through and graduates of the NICU experience. http://prematurebaby.bravehost.com it has a forum and yahoo chat group as well. I appriciate it. God bless you all. Andrea Workman
