Airforce Nursing 2011
The former reply is right, you need to talk to a recruiter ASAP as it may take some time and you may have to back door into the military nursing at this time. Army nurse corps right now is basically be ROTC and in school for nursing, get an Army scholarship or serve 1 year in the guard/reserves then go active duty. I am assuming the AF is in a similar situation. As for the physical training.....can you run, do sit ups and pull-ups? I am former AF enlisted and I am told by the Army nursing officer I know that physical training for nursing is much less vigorous than basic training. You have to think, you will be an officer and things are different for officers. That said, it's always good to be able to run for 30 minutes straight. Talk to a recruiter, but take everything they say with a grain of salt. On a side note, good choice! GO AIRFORCE!

LVN "teamate" not doing meds properly-advice wanted
Two points: 1 Karma will eventually catch up with this LPN. In a hospital near here an RN was marking the meds as given before they were actually given. Unfortunately for her the patient died before the next medications....the doctors had quite the question as to how a dead person could take their medications. 2 As one of the other poster said, you are liable if you see a problem that could result in patient harm and do nothing to stop it.

Isolation Nursing
I am currently a nursing student, and one of the girls I am in school with is from Canada. She was talking about this just a couple of weeks ago. The way she made it sound you can make a lot of money in a very short amount of time. She is Native Canadian, so she is able to go onto reservations and work. I don't know if that changes anything or makes the pay different???......

Suture/Staple removal in NYC
If you are concerned about legal liability in regards to your license then the only way is to pull up your states nurse practice acts and check. What a nurse can and can't do varies from state to state. I live on the border of two states, what is green light in one is not necessarily green light in the other.

Dont know what to do?
I agree that you should just go for the RN. That said, I know plenty of LPNs who are very good at what they do. Just remember this, LPNs do a lot of what an RN does, but the RN makes more money. You need to think of it in terms of cost/benefit ratio. How long do you plan to be in nursing? It will most likely be in your best interest to get your RN, but what your life situation is right now will dictate that. As for online programs, they can be fine, just be careful and make sure they will be recognized in your state. I personally believe you will get better training in a campus setting. Hope that helps.

toradol vs morphine
Toradol and Morphine are often given to give synergistic effects. I have seen people in the ER get 12 of morphine in less than an hour and not have it touch the pain. 60 of Toradol on board and they feel right as rain in about 30 minutes.

Positive PPD test after BCG vaccine
As I understand it, yes you will always get a +PPD after being vaccinated with BCG. What I have been told is that you should not even have a PPD after the BCG and a + result, go directly to CXRAY. Your program should have a policy for a + test, but I would guess the two step will not serve any purpose. I know a nurse who has been doing this for a good many years and she says this happens more often than you would think.
