Newbie Question...NET exam....MCCCD
Sorry if this is the the archives somewhere. I did look! How does the NET test work. I thought I read on MCCD website that they prefer you take the test at their location if you apply with them. Is the NET test taken after you apply to the school or before? Can I take the NET now and have the scores ready to go once I apply sometime next year? Is the test taking arranged through the school, or some independant group? Thanks for any insight. I am currently getting my questions together to speak with an advisor with MCCD, but want to make sure I understand how things work in Phoenix before I make a total fool of myself. We just moved from Texas and the programs that were available in our area did not require the NET exam. Guess its time to brush up on some math skills!

Glendale College weekend program?
Thanks for the info! I will try to get my questions together and call an advisor. We are new to the Phoenix area so I'll need to find out what locations are closest to where we currently live!

Glendale College weekend program?
Which MCC programs offer the weekend option? I have tried digging through the main website, but find it a little difficult to navigate. Do others beside Glendale have a weekend option?

Houston Area ADN Programs
Hey all! Am currently compiling information in preparation for persuing nursing as a second degree. I have been an accountant for 10 years and currently have the best job in the world of being stay-at-home dad to my two wonderful daughters. For several (many) years, I have felt that nursing was a calling of mine and I am finally getting to the point where I can finish up pre-reqs and go after this dream. I live in the greater Houston area and am trying to find out people's perceptions and thoughts about a few of the ADN programs in the area...most specifically Alvin Community College, Houston Community College and San Jacinto College. I have had the most difficulty in getting information about the program at Alvin Community College. Has anyone here attended (or currently attending) any of these three programs in the last few years that can give me their insight. Many thanks!

Shift Question
I am a 32 year old male looking to make a career change. I am extremely interested in pursuing a career in nursing. I am in the process of doing a lot of research on nursing as a second career and have found these forums most helpful. I have a quick question to all of you expert about night shift (which seems like will work best for my family). 1) How easy is it to get a job on night shift. Is night shift an undesirable time in general? And once on night shift.....is it possible to stay on night shift for years? Thanks if advance for your input and I look forward to learning a lot more about nursing! Robert
