I would like to get a head start on buying books and supplies, and was wondering if any of the current UF ABSN students could give us some ideas on how to save money since there are so many to buy. In the past, I have used amazon and half.com, but am unsure if previous editions are ok. Also, has anyone started looking at the stuff to do before Aug 1?

Hi everyone! I found out that I got into UF! I am so excited and will definitely be attending UF. I am looking for a place to live and was wondering if anyone else is looking for a roommate. Please message me if you are. I would love to live with someone in the nursing program who knows the demands of the program. For those of you who are waitlisted, I really hope things work out for you. I was looking at last years' blog and it seemed like a lot of the people from the waitlist ended up being admitted. I really hope we found out today or tomorrow. I have to go interview at my backup school in DC on Friday, so I need to know stat so I can make a decision if I need to go!

I really appreciate those comments jbishop! I have many prereqs in progress, but I hope that they take a look at my overall application, as you say they will. My numbers are strong, but I just don't know how they feel about prereqs being in progress.

Good to know about USF! UF is super competitive so it would be nice to have a backup plan. Hopefully we all won't need it!

Wow! That is less than I thought...I heard that 20 get the WH scholarship, and I think there will be a few that do not apply for it, as a lot of people are out of state.

Hi everyone, Hope everyone is enduring the wait as patiently as possible....jmh88, I believe they will send out decision letters at the very end of April, and we will receive them at the beginning of May looking at last years' stuff...I applied and was accepted to Georgetown, so that is my backup, but UF is definitely my first choice (mainly because it is so much less expensive!). Does anyone else have pre-reqs in progress?

Yes, I agree with you. From previous posts last year, it seems extremely intense. I live in Atlanta, so I will have to make a trip up there when I am done with classes here. I am very excited to meet everyone. Is Georgetown your first choice? I am also curious what everyones' background are. Are most people new grads or coming back to school.

I am doing the March 6th and 7th date. I think they said professional attire, so I was thinking black pants and a dress shirt....

Does anyone know what the average GPA and GRE scores are for previous years? I don't live in Florida, so I didn't really have a chance to go to the CON for any advising.

Has anyone heard back from Georgetown?

Hi, I only applied to ACE. Someone in my micro lab said she was accepted to ACE with a 3.7 and 90 on TEAS. She said that the program was requiring a response by 3/31 whether you are going to attend. This makes me think that those who are accepted will be notified by this or next week. I think we will hear back by Friday or Saturday.
