  1. hey TaraZ, have you found a place? and if you don't mind me asking...are you female or male? Thank you.
  2. Thank you much, Soon2Bnurstudent...u already are one!!! Congrats...we are following in your foot steps begining Fall... @ mother_matters, I PM you with regards to the study guides if they are still available...thank you.
  3. Hey Tac11, I wanted more info on a housing availability that Katlee posted...I guess it got taken down... I have been apartment hunting but will have to at least go down there to see what I am getting into...How about yourself?
  4. Katlee08 I need to pm you about housing. Let me know if it's ok.
  5. welcome to the club, Lee2011
  6. You are welcome Yvonne, I also look forward to meeting you in school once we all finally get there!!!
  7. hey YvonneABSN, I too, am in the same boat as you are.. I will be moving from Chicago and searching apartments online even on Marymount's offcampus housing website is a tough call! I plan on making time after this semester is over with to fly down there and physically examine what I saw on the offcampus housing site and on Marymount Uloop. you can check those out.
  8. Thank you soo much for your prompt response. I'll get that book for Med Surg. Are you guys getting any offers for employment as of yet? are you scheduled to take the NCLEX as you complete the program or do they give you a couple of months to go review and then take it? goodluck with that by the way. I'll be done with all my prereqs by this summer and so when I get there, I'll be facing only the non/nursing/clinical courses. I just want to get it done in the 16month time frame and not have any other hidden courses they don't tell you like ethics and nutrition that are also required to complete most nursing programs. Thank you.
  9. @ Mustudentnurse, I forgot to ask, how and where are the clinicals held? Trying to see if that will sort of have a bearing on where I choose to find an apartment. Also, coming in, what can one do to prepare? say if you had to do it all over, what will you do differently? what have you noticed that has been most helpful for you as far as performing well in the program? Study groups? cohorts? thanks for your time.
  10. Mustudentnurse, that would have been a great deal for me but I begin classes Aug 29th so moving in june would be too early. If you can please pass the word on to your classmates for someone looking for a spot late Aug 1st Sept, I sure would appreciate it. On a different note, how has the program been for you? Did you complete all prereqs before beginning?what are some of the other areas students live in that commute might not be as bad? Sorry about the one thousand and one questions!
  11. I forgot to ask...does of you who received letters from financial aid, if you don't mind, what does it say?
  12. To those of you still waiting to complete, just hang in there...at least it is a good thing they are holding on to your package for review pending your completion...before you know it, the semester will be over with and then the summer session as well...I know, you would just rather know now! I feel you...I got accepted pending my last science course A&P II which they could see as IP(in progress) on my transcript...and I also submitted before the first review date. Good luck
  13. I was looking for an accelerated program in the MD/DC/VA AREA. I applied to GWU(had my Bachelors from there) and Marymount bc I was still within their deadline. I am in illinois and will have to move. Tuition wasn't really a factor I considered...I just want a program...lol Have you decided to take them up on their offer? Best of luck.
  14. I have been accepted as well. I just need to get intouch with other students and read/see what they did/ where they went to rent. The off campus spots at MU are expensive but if it comes down to that then I guess I'll have to deal with that!
  15. Anyone heard from Marymount for Fall 2011? Also those already in the program, how did you do for housing/ renting ? Thank you
