  1. MURunner86, Thanks for the input. I do believe my niece's school ROTC program is Nurse Mission. When she started the program in 2010, the school had 6 slots for the class of 2014 for nursing students. According to my sister, the slots are now only 2, with my niece holding one of the slots. Let's just HOPE they don't drop anymore!!
  2. Lunah, Thanks for the input!! I figured that the future "billet" numbers are unknown at this time. My sister would just hate all this work her daughter puts into ROTC and school and she not get the commission. I've never heard of a ROTC scholarship recipient not getting a commission if grades and ROTC scores are good. Poor student and sub-par scores, yes no commission. Niece want to do critical care and then maybe try for the Army's CRNA program. This kid CHOSE to take the pre-med Calculus course instead of the first year required pre-nursing math. She is driven.
  3. my niece is the proud recipient of a 4 year army nursing rotc scholarship and she is due to graduate and be commissioned in 2014. my sister is asking me since i am ex-military myself if there is any chance that she will not get commissioned due to the draw down of the armed forces?? she is an excellent student and she has her heart set on going active duty and travelling. anyone hear anything about army nursing rotc students and their future service? anyone out there on active duty know what the "number's" will be in fy14 and fy15?? thanks!!!:redpinkhe
  4. Daughter is currently a pre-nursing student AND in Army ROTC at UAB. Excellent program!!
