Just got my official offer for Scripps Mercy DOU!!! Congrats to everyone else who has gotten calls so far and good luck to those still waiting!

Hopefully calls go out this week the waiting is making me go grey.

I haven't heard anything from Chula Vista, nor has anyone from my class... it does not seem like they interviewed yet but I am not positive.

Hmm... I think I have just about given up hope for a call from CV... The best of luck to all of those who have/had interviews!

Oops, just saw everyone else's posts and realized mine was too late.

It is an app, and a resume, anything else such as cover letters etc are not required. After that there are supplemental questions. After those is a talent-mine assessment (personality test)... And THEN there are animated sims. All together it took me three hours, it took others longer... Not sure a to how many try are excepting... Good luck and I hope this helps!

I do, internal apps opened on Monday and I applied as soon as they did

Thought I would post another thread on here for the scripps new grad program starting this summer as applications are open for internals and soon will open for externals. I myself am an internal, applied Monday, and have an interview already set for May 7th... Good luck to all!!!

Has anyone heard anything about Chula vista? I applied to scripps Monday and I all ready have an interview but haven't heard anything from sharp and applied over a month ago!!

No, haven't heard that anyone I know has either...

No phone calls that I've heard of, interviews are held April-June so I'm assuming phone calls will go out over the next couple if months... That's what seems to have happened in previous cohorts.

This is my first new grad app I've completed. I applied for Chula Vista ED and their ICU residency. I'm currently a Scripps employee but have done all my clinicals at Sharp and my preceptorship at the Chula Vista MICU... Where is everyone coming from? Work experience?

So like our predecessors I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all the new applicants for Sharp's summer 2013 new grad program. I just applied today and can't believe how nervous I am since I hit that submit button!! Good luck to all!!

Rochelle... Congrats!!! I can't wait to start!! I got my drug test an background done, I have titers done from before and I just need to schedule my physical =) woop woop, May can't come fast enough!

I got my call on Wednesday... I got in!!! I hope to see everyone in May =)

Thank you, I sure hope so... But nothing is for sure untill I'm sitting in class the first day! LOL! I'm still keeping my fingers and toes crossed for all of us applying!

Hello RNtobeRochelle! Yay! I'm so excited/nervous... I can't wait to find out if I've been accepted, I got an 83.5 on my TEAS and I've been an EMT for almost 2 years... Before that I was a MA, I'm so so ready to go to school for nursing :)... Fingers crossed for all of us!

Prdysailor, I think the hours change based on that portion of the program your in… as far as I've heard that is. My councilor told me to expect 8-530, but that there will be some variation. I know people that went through the program before it changed to the new format and they said it was not set. *I'm not positive about this though

Im an EMT :) I work on an ambulance but it is BLS and I have a much more limited scope of practice than a medic... before I was an EMT I was a MA (Kaplan grad.) I sure hope applying early helps!

yikes!yeah playing the waiting game is so stressful!! I really REALLY want to get in, but I have no idea when they start calling people to let them know, so I keep my phone on me at all times... even though Im sure its a bit early. I will let you know if i hear anything :), likewise, let me know if you hear anything... keeping my fingers crossed!
