  1. Baby blue and all others who got in for fall who will be taking the TEAS tomorrow, good luck! It is really not that hard so don't stress.
  2. WOW so excited to see so many who got in on this web site. Jbr how did you get a physical done so quickly? Do you have to do it with your regular Dr. or is there some other place it can be done? Getting an appt with my primary care physician takes forever and I am a little nervous about that. Someone told me that this long list of things to do in two weeks is the way they start weeding people out of the program that are not serious or ready. I got into UC East Bay also but I am going to the JC for sure. I know 3 people who graduated from the JC and all had good things to say. Also wondering if anyone has looked at the book list yet? Anyone planning on finding the books themselves to save money? Or it may be better just getting them from the bookstore to save the time and headache when there is so much other stuff to do and worry about. Congrats to all again, see you soon Crystal
  3. Just got my email that I am in for the fall! Anyone else? Would love to chat about all the stuff that has to be done so quickly. Crystal
  4. That sucks. I was looking foward to this ending soon. Thanks for letting us know.
  5. Agreed! As it gets closer I just get more anxious, I must check my email 7 times a day. I am so ready to know, either way, in or out, I just wanna know. I would be much happier if I were however :).
  6. Hey all, Can't believe the reported number of applicants this year! I already took the TEAS as I am applying to BS programs also. It was really not that bad, I would not stress too much about it. I used the study guide and paid for the online practice tests (really helpful). I got a 75% before I even started studying, which is enough for the JC. I only studied for a couple days just to remind myself of a few things and scored in the 90's on the actual test (99 in science). I remember reading something about the rock stuff (review on Amazon?) also but that may have been on an older version (?) cause it was not on my test. I have heard from a friend that got in at the JC that they did not hear that they got in till August! Fingers crossed.
  7. They do give you a points break down on the FAQ part of their web page. For the GPA they multiply it by 6.25 so you can figure out how many points you are going to get, just not how many are needed. I will let you know if I hear anything.
  8. I live in Sonoma county so I get the extra 5 points. My GPA is about a 3.5 so I am kinda nervous about that. I think my essays will get a fair amount of points as I worked in a hospital for 5 years. My TEAS percentile was 90 something. My mom even works at SSU, but not in the nursing department so I am in the same boat as everyone else, wondering and hoping. I have begged her to ask someone from the program how many points it usually takes to get in but no luck so far. April seems so far away. Where are you from? What made you want to go to SSU?
  9. I applied for the 2011 program at SRJC but I am trying not to think about it too much as it will still be months till we know anything.
  10. I applied and can't wait till April to get the results. I wonder how many points it takes to get in.
