I'm sorry if this is strange or stupid question but the only types of nurses I have heard of have been CNA's and RN's....what other type of nurses are there?

Good luck on your clinical practice :) and thank you, is it hard with the classes being everyday almost to get homework done? Im sorry like i said im new to all this. Well going to school for it, With my mom I had to changing feeding tubes, diapers, wound care, shots, medicine, trac cleaning, catherdal cleaning and changing...and much much more, thats why i so badly want to become a nurse.

Thank you that makes my decision seem a little better, I know I wont back down on wanting to be a nurse, i was just afaird on my decision on if i should become a CNA first then go to school to become a RN....I think I will become a CNA first and then go back to school, at least this way I can save up some money to pay for school instead of asking my dad.

I'll be going soon to get my CNA licenses soon and I was wondering how the CNA classes where? If they where hard If theres anthing I should know, any advice on how to handle the classes and any advice on everything in general, I'm doing this all alone and need some help someone to talk and guide me something. I know I want this badly from since, I took care of my mom up to the day she died, I just dont have anyone to help or give me advice. And I basically stalk this site looking for help lol :)

I want to become a nurses so badly and my orignal plan was in the beginning to go to the local community college near me and take the CNA classes, then well looking for a job as a CNA or well working as one go back to school to become a RN. I started thinking about it and because I wanted to become a nurse so bad and I love it (from taking care of my mom) and knew i wouldnt change my mind, was planning on skipping the CNA and going straight for the RN classes cause I figured: A) It would be faster B) Cause I can't afford it really C) I knew I wouldnt change my mind BUT.......I just learned that the community college I'll be going to requires you have you CNA licenses before you can take nursing classes. Yes I know I dont have to work as a CNA after I get my licenses and could just go straight ino RN classes, but now I'm wondering if my first plan would be wiser, considering money, and time? Also if my first plan was wiser and better, how hard would it be to balance working as a CNA and going to school to become a RN?

I mean don't get me wrong im motivated I really want this but when you said "crush them" I was like oh god.....help me I can be the best student I can but that doesn't mean I can be amazing. I have had a few people talk to me about it but none from the actually school. My dad and I are at a lost, he never went to college and the fact Im almost done with my highschool diploma, I need to start looking into things, like pricing, classes, what and how to get ahold of the school to talk to them, if it is required that I have my act and sats cause I dont and would have to take them at clc......*breathes* lol. I'm sorry just theres so many questions so many things and the fact I'm only 19 it worries me that Ill mess up or do something wrong and my dad cant really help. So basically would you be willing to help me a little? or something I'm just so worried. Thank you everyone
