  1. Hi Guys! For everyone that has been accepted, did you guys receive admission packets in the mail? I got mine Friday. Also, I accepted my admissions offer. I received an email from the Bursar at NYU saying that my payment was received but did not receive anything from the actual nursing school. Do you think thats bad? I am praying for the rest of you guys to hear soon!!! DPmke, are you from the midwest!? I am from St. Louis :)
  2. Hey guys! Is anyone from the city that can give me some advice on where to live that is not a dorm? I want to live somewhat close to campus but I know it can be really expensive. I am looking for somewhere close that is not that bad of a commute. I do not even know where to begin - what area, how do I get ahold of a real estate agent, etc.! If you know anything let me know! Thanks, Ashley :)
  3. Hey guys! My Albert account also still says incomplete even though I have been admitted. I would not worry too much at all about what that account says! GOOD LUCK to everyone who is still waiting to hear!!
  4. I GOT IN!!!!!! I am so proud of all of us! This is so exciting! I cannot wait to meet all of you and be classmates together!!!
  5. Oops! Sorry guys. I'm on my iPhone. Does anyone know if they only send acceptance emails? I don't even want to say it, but how do we know if we don't get in?
  6. CONGRATS!!!! I want to call and see if they will tell me! This wait is killing me. Is anyone else going to call today?!
  7. Well let's all hope that we are in the first pool of applicants and the first to get in!!!!! :)
  8. When I went to the Open House they said that if you apply by March 1 that we are in the first "pool" of applicants. Therefore, the first spots go to the first ones that apply and we hear first. At least that is what I got from it. I believe they said that if you apply by the April 1 deadline, it is on a rolling admission of spots that are still open? Does this sound correct?
  9. NMJ, I'm with you! I also applied on February 14. I want to find out already! GGBRN, Congrats!!! I am so jealous you already know! What did the email say? I am SO nervous!!
  10. I have been reading past blogs as well. I just read one that said she received her acceptance letter on April 14 and it was postmarked April 9. We will know SO SOON you guys!!! I literally cannot believe we will all know a week from now!!!
  11. Em Em, Your post made me so excited and nervous at the same time! How crazy would it be if we all found out this weekend or next week! AH!! Best of luck to everyone! I'm praying and keeping my fingers crossed for good luck!! :)
  12. hey guys! My application still says incomplete because my standardized test scores are not checked off yet! Is everyone else's checked off! I hope I'm not the only one! April 1 is so soon!!! I'm nervous and excited!!
  13. hey guys! Everything is checked off of mine besides standardized test scores.
  14. Hi All! I called the Office of Admissions today and asked them about the status of my application. My account is asking for transcripts to schools that I never even attended? Anyway, they told me not to worry about our Albert accounts because the system is not accurate and there have been some errors with it. They told me if they need anything we will be notified by email not by our account. As long as we all received an email saying that our applications were received and under review, we're good!
  15. Hi EmEm! I am in the same boat as you. NYU is my top choice right now. I am very nervous though! My cumulative GPA is a 3.69 but in my pre-reqs I have mainly As and Bs but I do have one C...eek! If NYU does not work out I will probably apply to other nursing schools in St. Louis (where I am from). I hope we hear in early April rather than late April! I have read in previous threads that some people did not hear until July! I am sure that will not happen to us because we all turned our applications in so early!
  16. I did not send in any high school transcripts or test scores, so I am not sure why the box was checked? I will probably call in a few weeks just to make sure! I am nervous that my college transcript box isn't checked...
  17. Hi All! I just wanted to let you know that my account on Albert is saying that I have a check mark next to finalized High School Transcript, but the test score box is still empty. I just thought I would update! I also have one more box that says College Transcript. I sent that a month ago so hopefully they are just sorting through it all still!! Have any of yours updated?
  18. Hi skyheaven! When I went to the open house about two weeks ago, they told me that we will not hear anything till at least late April!
  19. Halleyco4, I am from St. Louis, MO. We went up to NY for the Open House and ended up staying for weekend. We made it a mini-vacation! I know no one else that is applying to NYU, so I am very happy that this thread was made! My application says the exact same thing about standarized test scores and a final high school transcript. They also said at the open house not to worry about those and in a few weeks everything should be cleared on the application status. Your pre-req grades are awesome!! I have mostly As and Bs but I do have one C+ in chemistry ( I am trying not to be too worried about it. I read other threads and saw that quite a few people were accepted with some Cs. As far as still having your pre-reqs in progress, I would not worry at all! As long as you have all the courses finished before Fall 2011, I think you're fine! I am currently a Senior at the University of Missouri and am getting a Bachelors of Arts and Science.
  20. The Open House really was not very crowded at all... maybe 25-30 people. It was a powerpoint presentation. They talked about scholarships, financial aid, pre-reqs, etc. I asked how many applicants usually apply and how many they accept. They said the number of applicants always varies but they only take 30-35% of applicants! eek!!! With that said, what are all your guys stats like...pre-reqs, gpa, etc.! They also said if we apply by the March 1 deadline we will not be notified until late April, at the earliest! Did you check your application status on the Albert Login? My application still says "incomplete." I am hoping they are just sorting through everything and still have to process my transcripts. I had all my transcripts sent February 14, so I hope they get there soon!! Have you heard anything about the program regarding how many applicants, average GPA, or anything?? Ashley
  21. Hi Everyone!! My name is Ashley. I also applied to the Fall 2011 Accelerated BSN program at NYU! I just set up this account and am so happy that you all started a thread for us! I submitted my application February 12 and got an email from them about two weeks. I got my netID and everything. You can check the status of your application by clicking on academics and logging onto Albert. I went to the most recent open house this past thursday evening. I am so nervous about this whole process and wish we did not have to wait so long to hear back!! It was pretty helpful and was so much fun to be in the city! Ashley :)
