I'm a military wife too and from my experience, applying through registry or as a contractor works. I applied so many times at usajobs and I only got interviewed once and never got hired. I also have spouse preference but never worked for me too.

I also applied in almost every job posting that I saw at craigslist. But got no luck! Only had one interview and was not able to get the job. My last resort was to schedule an appointment with my Uncle who's the Administrator of one of the facilities in my place. They're not hiring right now but because I know the Administrator, they'll try to fit me in their schedule so I can start my training. So I guess, you NEED to know someone for them to care about your resume.

That's what I have too. Well, Kaplan didn't work for me cuz I felt like twas just the same. Answer a question and they'll explain the rationale. They give tips though on how to answer the questions, but in my opinion those tips were also in the book so yea. Nursing concepts are not discussed so it's really not advisable if you're a graduate from a foreign school.

I tried Kaplan but it didn't work for me. I just used NCLEX 4000, LaCharity and Feuer audio review. I passed on my first try with 75 questions. If you need a copy of LaCharity just message me.
