  1. My new roomate was asking me a question about a spinal tap she had done about 2 years ago because I'm a nursing student. She got the spinal tap because she was losing vision in her left eye. After the spinal tap, another specialist told her it was her birth control, so she stopped taking it and her vision came back. As for the spinal tap, after two years she still has back pain and can't lift more than 30ish pounds, so she can't work outside and do things like landscaping. She can't sit in a fixed position for more than ten minutes without them hurting and she wakes up in pain multiple times a night. There are bumps that almost feel like a cyst or a tumor right where the tap was done, and I don't know how to explain this to her... Any information would help, Thank you!
  2. My patient had a c-section at 32 weeks and is oligohydramnios and i can't come up with a nursing diagnosis for the mother or the baby. I was thinking risk for infection R/T preterm infant and oligohydramnios, but that's about as far as I got and I know I can get more in depth. Any suggestions???
  3. I've never heard of a "care plan" book...Are they expensive? Do they just have a million careplans to help you get through the ones we have to do? Amazon doesn't show me the inside of the book so i'm a little skeptical on buying one. Any info helps and thank you!
