  4. Okay so being a cna.. we come across some really unpleasent smells (i'm still in school, but in the clinic) Second or third day at the clinic we had a resident who we cleaning up her diaper, and who also had 3-4 bed sores. FIRST TIME I SAW IN PERSON. I thought i was fine with it, but being so close to her- next to the bed. The smell of the BM and rotting skin or the bed sores, couldn't take it, and almost threw up and fainted. Thankfully I didn't, but man was I close. Not a good feeling lol. My point for this blog is... What are was to help with the smell? Breath through your mouth? I don't know, any tips??
  5. I was wondering where all do cna's work?? I know the common ones- assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, ect. Do any of them work in doctor offices? Being a CNA... Do you only work with the elderly?
  6. Thanks for answering! and so fast haha! Glad to know you like it, just about everyone i've talked to said that they really do enjoy it, which is great! and good to hear! Sucks about the pay tho..... at least i know that was 6 years ago but i'm sure it hasn't gone up much more i'm 19 and looking to move out on my own, is it enough to support yourself? I'm glad you like nights, i'm a night owl/ or i just have insomnia haha either way tho.. i'd probally be working nights because I hate mornings and just can't wake up .. Did you get any extra while working nights? Or would you say you liked one shift more than the other? Again, Thanks!
  7. Hello, I'm in school right now to become a CNA. Been in school for about 5 weeks now. (Illinois) how is it to work nights? any advice...? what is the worst thing about the job? what's your daily routine? Any information would be great! THANKS
