  1. SpNar, I too have not heard a thing! I've even reached out to the admissions board and they are not helpful at all in letting me know when I will hear and why there is a hold up. Wasn't 'accepted student's day' this past Friday?
  2. Johns Hopkins obviously is a great school and will provide whoever attends with excellent clinical and classroom experience (with the hospital, great advising, intimate class sizes, etc.) I've experienced through other forums that current students of some programs are simply angry about the price of the school and this emotion, along with (maybe) one negative experience or one complaint about one facility (whatever it may be), combine to become "disappointment". Some people apply and attend expensive schools and then feel that it's not worth the price. I think this is a very personal matter. For example, it is not too common for kids in my town to go away for college. I did, and most of my friends in my area can't understand why I spent the money and why it was important to go to such a great undergraduate program. It is about the experience you want and believe you will have. Johns Hopkins is an excellent school and will put us all on top in the end. ....I am still waiting to hear from admissions
  3. OHSU is my top choice and I'm trying to figure out how to increase my chances of being accepted now that I already submitted my application. I am coming from the east coast, which may make me a tad more competitive. Does any current student have any recommendations on what I can do while waiting to let the admissions board know that my heart is set on OHSU and I am a promising, diligent student who has a lot of passion to attend OHSU and make a difference in the medical field? Or is everything out of my hands?
  4. ayu531, I applied for the ABSN option and have not heard a word. Frustrating!
  5. I've been following this forum for a while now and decided to hop in. I have not received any word yet and I'd like to believe the old idiom: 'no news is better than bad news.' I called the admissions office today and asked if all calls were made for the accepted ABSN applicants. They said about 30-40 applicants are still being discussed/reviewed. I hope this is true and the person I spoke with just didn't want to tell me over the phone that I was denied! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!
