  1. Just wondering if anyone works as a case manager or does UR from a home office.....I am wanting to look at this as an option but am not sure what companies to look at....Any suggestions??
  2. I made the transition from floor nursing to case management as well, I have been doing CM for a year now and the longer I'm in it the more I enjoy it. I also missed the direct patient care, I have stayed PRN because of this. I find that with each month that passes and all the stuff I see going on on the units, I'm really glad I'm not a fulltime floor nurse anymore, I get my fill a few days a month being PRN
  3. I think that seeing the young one's die is very difficult, especially when they are around your age or the age of your spouse and your realize how easily it could be you in that situation. It's heartbreaking! I also think it's hard when the patient has come to terms with their cancer being terminal but the doctors persuade them to try more chemo or have surgical procedures that makes the remaining time terrible. Sometimes it's better to have quality of life over quantity of life.
