  1. hang in there...it took me 2 years to fight for my classes and with enough persistence you'll be able to get the classes you need to transfer into a great nursing school. personally, i had 0 volunteer hours when i applied, but maintained a solid work experience and life skills that helped me get through the interview. i hope this helps...volunteering really does help, i wish i did it before i applied. hope this helps...how many pre-reqs do you have left? try and find any kind of volunteering gig...everyone i talked to had at least 6months to 3 years of volunteer exp.

  7. I believe they interviewed around 60 candidates for 40 seats for the fall. thats what the admin ppl told me while i was waiting for my interview with the director. I believe they require a $400 deposit by the 24th of June so they can choose from the wait list.
  8. i believe they had close to 400 applicants for this fall cohort with around 60-100 interviewing from the 400 and selecting 40 students based on asking the ABSN admissions personnel. I hope this info helps...good luck to all interviewers. i believe they'll be holding interviews all the way though next week. decision letter r suppose be sent out on a rolling basis, so those who interview first will probably hear back in the middle of june
  9. Kristy is there a way i can personally email you and ask you some questions about your personal experience and what do's and don't you learned through the program you can instill in a perspective student?
  10. are you referring to Concordia University Irvine, California nursing accredidation? they were accredited by CCNE a few years ago. I hope this helps. good luck to those who apply. Mostly a group interview set-up that spans 4-5 hours. hope you guys make the fall cohort...

  22. i, too, feel april 15th is only 10 days away but seems like a year. crossing my fingers. I wonder how the faculty must feel when reviewing all the candidates in the course of the two weekends of interviews...im sure they have to make very tough decisions in selecting the fall class. it'll be here soon, but not soon enough i presume. hang in there...
