I got the admissions email about an hour ago. To answer someone else's question about background, I have a BA in history, a MA and 8 years of career experience in a field completely unrelated to science/nursing, ugrad gap: 3.3, post-bac gap: 3.7ish, GRE (took for application to another program): 1400, and misc. volunteer experience throughout the years. So, i gave in and called to get my username/pword, and it looks like I've got the admitted student tab as well. Okay, now I can stop stalking the mail truck....

Huh, weird! I never got that email, though I did email them a week or so after the due date and they said I had submitted everything. I don't think I will bother getting an account at this point, hopefully will be finding out in the mail soon either way.

So, stupid question here.... How does one get a campus connect account? Or were you already a student there? The only thing I have a login for is the application.

Congrats to those who have been accepted! I have a question for you: was the email sent by Julie Kim, or by someone in your individual specialty?

I'm taking A&P I right now at Oakton in Skokie with Dr. Perry, and have been happy with it. Her reviews on ratemyprofessor are less than favorable, but I don't find her to be unreasonable in the least. She has very high expectations of her students, but I guess that's what I was expecting going into it! I have also heard good things about Prof Arfeen (I think that's his name).

Prettylights--I think you would be would be able to *work* wherever you want, but any clinicals for your MSN classes would be with hospitals that the different satellite campuses have relationships with, so the clinicals might be closer to those campuses.

Prettylights--you asked about being in another city for the MSN portion while working as an RN? It is my understanding that the MSN portion can be completed at any of the satellite campuses: urbana/champaign, rockford, peoria, quad cities, chicago). From the info session i attended, it also sounded as though the MSN classes had a larger online component than in-person. Willakers--I interviewed earlier this week, and she said they'd be meeting that day or the next day to rank all of us, and then it would be a few weeks before they had the final numbers of how many people they could take for CNM. She said to expect to hear sometime the week of April 25 by email, but that official letters wouldn't go out from the graduate school until mid-may. Was this your understanding as well?

Any CNM hopefuls out there? I have an interview on Monday, just got the invitation to interview a few days ago--I'm glad that it isn't too far off, the waiting is killing me!

Mine arrived there on Saturday, Feb. 19, and were checked in sometime around 4-5 pm on Thursday, Feb. 24.

Isn't it supposed to come within 10 days? I would keep emailing. Mine came in 3-4 days. The email it comes from is: [email protected]. Maybe check your spam filter? If it did go to spam and got deleted, there is a page where you can request the link to the supplemental application be resent: http://www.uic.edu/nursing/prospectivestudents/ol-Login.shtml If that doesn't work, did you get confirmation that your primary application went through? I got an email notification from UIC admissions a few days after submitting my primary application. Maybe you didn't hit the final "Submit" button? Hope this helps!

I'm applying. I just sent in my transcripts, and am obsessively checking to make sure my recommenders get their letters in! I went to an info session a few months ago, and I want to say that she said that 56 people were accepted from a pool of about 300 applicants. And some specialties are more competitive than others, so it will really depend on a few different factors.
