  1. Hi Everyone! Sorry it's been awhile since I posted. Congrats to all who've been accepted! I attended the meet and greet last week too and it was generally pretty informative. If you go to one definitely have specific questions, because the current students, financial aid officers and the scholarship recruiter will be there. But it is a proactive type of event. If you have questions they will answer them but it is not a formal information session. The current students said that it is a lot of work. But they still all have lives outside of the program, which I found comforting. One students I think put it well by saying she just treats it as a full time job...meaning from 7am-5pm, 5-6 days a week she is focusing on school but she still has time for other things (but I'm pretty sure none of them had outside jobs). I look forward to meeting you all!
  2. eek! thats crazy, I would be interested too in living with people from the program. Also I heard from someone in Financial Aid, she said it will take the office 3-4 weeks after acceptance to process the information. Also I don't know if any of you were planning on applying for the Hillman Scholarship for the program, but she also informed me that they won't be offering it this year
  3. Great! Thanks Annie! I'll look for it...ok i need to get back to studying all this excitement is so distracting, but hey I'm definitely thankful for it. Good luck to the regular decision applicants!
  4. Excellent :) I'll accept lol Yea i think it would be a good resource just for us to all share information on logistics and stuff. I noticed other years had them too.... thanks for the update on FA bwin88
  5. Me too!! I'll need some studious housemates :) I'm on FB Halley Everall although I don't use it all that frequently...but it would be a good idea to start a group or something...anyone else?
  6. ok cool it will probably just take a few days
  7. Yea I'm going to wait and see what they offer as financial aid and stuff.... But if they offer me on campus housing I will take it, I've herd it just turns out to be a better option price wise. But if they offer me a room with a roommate I think I will look into brooklyn and queens...I can't go back to freshman year of college!
  8. Also none of my transfer credit/ financial aid is up yet....
  9. Is anyone having a hard time responding to admissions decision online? Have they just not updated albert yet?
  10. Congrats everyone!!!!
  11. Thanks everyone! My undergrad GPA was a 3.7 and I haven't calculated my prereq GPA but I had all A's and A-'s except chem with a B+, then my mid term report for this semester of A&P and Micro are also A's but I still have to finish out the semester...I will finish with A&P II this Aug just in time for the september start. In undergrad I also held various volunteer opportunities and internships.... I wouldn't worry, from what it seemed like years past they accepted a larger variety of students. Good luck everyone :) Can't wait to meet you all this fall!!
  12. yes it does thanks KKandes!
  13. Yea I was under the impression that it is around $50,000 (just tuition) too... hopefully in our announcements it will be more clear, as well as financial aid/scholarship stuff. I'm going to e-mail the office of financial aid to get everything figured out once I get more information.
  14. Hey everyone! Just wanted to share the news that I was accepted! I was applying for other internships and volunteer opportunities that were putting pressure on me about my fall availability so I e-mailed an admissions representative and she told me the good news. She said the official ones will go out tomorrow. Good luck to everyone!! Let me know what housing plans end up being I'll be looking for a housemate!
  15. Congrats GGBRN! Thanks for updating us, hope everything works out financially :)
  16. jdubs- So what brought you out to the springs then? Yes the reason I applied to Drexel was that I visited a friend over spring break and loved the city! Its so alive and seems to have a lot of room to grow....I figured it would be a really nice place to study for a year and maybe work and live there after for awhile. I just graduated last May with a BA in French and Humanities from a small women's college in Claremont CA named Scripps. What did you get your first degree in?
  17. That's great! Congratulation! Nope I'm from Denver but I want to live in a big city while I'm young :) NYU is great with all the global connections, clinical opportunities ect. I also am really interested in NYU because it has a holistic nursing certificate in the master sector. So, if I love it (that is if I get in and love it) I will continue on there. I was looking at John Hopkins in baltimore but its sooo expensive that I don't know....I'm going to have to re-evaluate after we hear from NYU. Where did you go to undergrad, here in CO?
  18. jdubs- I live in Fort Collins. NYU and Drexel are the only two school's I've applied to. I will apply to CU denver when I have completed my prerequisites. They won't let you apply until you are done. Have you applied anywhere else?
  19. Hey jdubs! I'm from colorado too! What city do you live in?
  20. Hey jahworks, I'm taking a bunch of prereqs right now, so I called to ask if they needed midterm reports and the lady said that we do not need to send in any school forms, but they will contact us if they want one. I was told that they accept some applicants on a conditional term but I don't know if they did last time around. I hope they do! So in short, if you haven't gotten a request for one you don't need to send one in.
  21. thanks everyone for the updates :) Your helping me to keep calm! wishing everyone luck!
  22. Hey everyone! Glad to see more people have joined the thread :) Just wanted to let you know that all my transcripts have arrived and been checked off although it still says incomplete because of the HS transcript and scores but that should change soon I would think.... Does anyone know if we can check if our recommendations have been received?
  23. Hey all! Yep no checks on my end either and I sent my transcripts in well before my application just so they would start an account for me... I called on Monday because one of my transcripts is not listened so I wanted to make sure that it wouldn't be disregarded, and she said not to worry. That they are still working through all the regular undergrads so they haven't started sorting the BSN's yet. She said the school will e-mail us in plenty of time to notify us if something is missing. This waiting around stuff is not no fun!
  24. Hi skyheaven! Welcome to the thread :) I think everyone is in the same boat right now just waiting.... definitely the nerve-racking part of the process. We are keeping each other updated on any advancements but there has been little news from the school except that they have received the applications. Good luck!
  25. Wow it seems like everyone has really interesting backgrounds! I really hope we all get in and I get to meet you all :) Thanks for the encouragements on the prereqs. I'm happy they they have a more well rounded admittance policy because I feel like my extra curriculars are have been more valuable then my academics. I'll let you all know when something changes on the status.
