first test on monday FREAKING OUT!!!!!

oh my on w tech support and there is no way of accessing the course before the 27th. I followed the instruction and no courses opened uugghhh. hanging up

I can definately see it just can't view it. I have 101 on m/w. you?

Have you been able to access the course on d2l? I freaking out right about now!!! I will crack open the book now omg!!!

@mschultz, thanks for the help getting into ati. Has anyone gotten into view the class material on d2l? I have been trying to get in everyday and it won't let me uugghhh!!!!

Having no luck finding the nurse logic. I must have navigated the site four times or soo. Is it a long module? I want to start....11 days and counting till school!!

@izziesmomma-awesome. Thanks for your input guys!!!! anyone going over the dosage calculations math?? After weeks of doing the book I finally scored a 92 on one of the self assesment tests, nothing like a late bloomer!!!! Math is not my forte, but I am making some head way finally!!!

Thanks so much. I actually bought the fundamentals. My husband said I should buy my textbooks, he is an R.N., but he has never opened any of his books since he graduated. I am just about outta money!!! It's sucha a shame I have a basement full of nursing books, that I can't use uugghhh!!! Think I'm gonna rent. Thanks for the reply:p

Do you find the cd helpful? I have been doing just the book. I get up @ 6 every morning before the kids!!!

I found the same issues!!! I guess we will find out soon enough what the test will be like.

The math test that we have to take at the beginning of every semester.....soooo nerve wrecking. I feel like I go to chapters foward then 3 back in the dosage calculations book.

I haven't started reading yet. I have been studying the dosage calculations book. I am freaking about this math test!!!! I got my uniform, and all of my books except the ATI( getting that tomorrow), and handed in all of my health forms today. Soooo excited,but also extremly nervous. Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!!!! If anyone has any info on the ,math test please feel free to share;)

I have not ordered books yet, but my niece has searched many sites (she is going into the program as well- we R very close in age:) ) She said it looks like ABE books on line is the way to go. Great prices!!!

I'm gonna have by the first day just to be prepared they didn't tell us if we would be reporting to the clinical site the first week. The whole uniform needs to be white. I am assuming that the pants should be button front. I have seen plain elastic waist pants, but not sure if those are acceptable. I f I find out I will def pass on the info. I wish I could take credit for the quote, It came from a second year male evening student who was quite funny. :)

Hi caitcusack! Welcome to the thread. Yes we are required to get a white uniform. No scrub pants!! The pants need to be almost slack like. My husband who graduated from the program in'07 said if you go to the local store to get your uniform (Not sure if we can mention names of stores on here??) they usually know what you need by the program in which you are attending. I myself have not gone yet. Oh and please make sure you have appropriate white or nuetral colored underwear ..NO thongs or prints. LOL, they went over this detail more than once!! "No cleavage in the front or back" Too funny:)

So how did everyone's orientation go? I went May 30th in the Am. I had butterflies, but it was not as intimidating as I thought.

Hey pbtsg, I just checked my e-mail and found out our clinicals are the same day, awesome!!! I am soooo nervous. I have been in the medical field for 11 years,but have never had hands on patient care, I did medical billing. Anyone in the same boat? Welcome lacar and congrats!

Anyone taking tues. clinicals at st charles? In reference to the background check do they issue you a certificate immediately online proving you did it? Planning to do mine tomorrow.

Yes. I just paid the $100.00 and went to admissions they changed my emphasis then I went right downstairs and registered. The background check can be done immediately,but they don't suggest to do the medical part til June or July.
