Should I take a CNA class?
Good point. I think nursing schools should make it a requirement for prenursing students to take a CNA course so indecisive students (like me) will know what they are getting into.

Should I take a CNA class?
Thanks DreamyEyes, I'm going to try the CNA class first. If that doesn't work, I may consider pharmacy school. Good for you that you found your niche in dental hygeine.

Should I take a CNA class?
Hi everyone, I am new to the boards. Hope you can help me out here. I have been accepted into an ADN program for Fall 2008. Now, I am starting to have doubts. I don't know if I'm going to like nursing or not. Do you think it would be a good idea to take a CNA course before starting the ADN program? I would hate to spend all my money and time to find out nursing is not for me. I have heard how stressful it is and I have no nursing experience. Are there any of you out there that started out as CNAs and progressed onto an ADN program?

SPC Nursing schedule
Thanks for your help mystic fish. I would have posted another message sooner but my sister just had a baby and I have been helping her out. She lives in Sarasota and I live in Largo, so I have been running back and forth. The only cocern is that I have one more prerequisite to finish before starting the nursing program. I have to take elementary statistics. Eventhough it is elementary, I heard that was a hard course. Did you ever have to take it? I'm average in math so I was hoping it won't be that tough.

SPC Nursing schedule
Can anyone please tell me out there who attended St. Pete College Nursing School tell me what time the NUR 1021 clinicals start and ended in a day? Do you go two times a week? I don't start the program until August 2005. I need this info so I have an idea how many times a week my kids are going to need before and after care. I called the college and they said attend orientation to find out which is this summer. I can't wait that long to find answers. The college doesn't tell you that much or maybe I talked to wrong person. Nursing 1021C isn't even listed in the courses schedule book. Not listed! What's the big secret? Will appreciate your help!

Waiting list -St. Pete College & PTEC
Thanks, mystic fish. Nobody knows at PTEC, as staff, students & school is currently on vacation until Aug 3rd (they go by Pinellas County schools calendar). With SPC, now I hear it was anywhere up to 3 years and the list changes from time to time as people change their minds (they don't want to wait around). It's a bummer when you want to get things going!

Waiting list -St. Pete College & PTEC
Please, does anyone out there have any idea how long the waiting list is for SPC -RN program or PTEC - LPN program? I am applying to PTEC LPN program then going on through the LPN-RN transient program at SPC. I heard it was much quicker to go that route since I am pressed for time.
