  1. i'm curious about this too... i would be okay accepting the subsidized loans but not the unsubsidized since 6.8% interest is pretty high and i can get a private loan for a lower interest rate. so if we don't accept both loans, our YSN scholarship goes away? and i think for columbia, that 25K is guaranteed no matter what.
  2. anybody deciding btwn yale and columbia for peds? congrats to everyone that's been accepted!
  3. it was around 2 pm PST when i got the call.
  4. just got the call... got in for peds! good luck to everyone still waiting!
  5. one of those rare days i wish i wasn't in california... haha
  6. aw... i'm on the 10:30 pm flight. have a safe trip and hope to see you friday!
  7. i still haven't heard about either the bsn or the msn... anybody in the same situation? its frustrating since admitted students day is this friday... so even if i was accepted, i couldn't attend even if i wanted to since making travel plans this late from california would be really difficult.
  8. anybody flying out from san francisco (jetblue) on thursday night?
  9. i got in in for peds primary care but will be turning it down so hopefully this opens up a spot for someone on the waitlist for peds. good luck!
  10. i'm actually an incoming student not a current student... i just visited last summer which is why it seems like i know so much which in reality i don't haha i'm from san francisco and my flight gets in on the 4th at 7 am... i don't think you'll be too late if your flight gets in at 8 cuz its rush hour so there should be plenty of trains and it should only take you about 1 hr 15 min-ish to get to columbia so you wont be too late. cu1234, i also have the same questions about housing!
  11. the A takes a lot longer timewise than if you take the E then the A... from experience when i visited last summer. hope this helps!
  12. hi hlu5, i'm coming from california too! what time is your flight getting in? J is right about taking the trains... changing trains is pretty easy because there are signs everywhere so don't worry about getting lost or anything. there are also route maps on the train themselves so you can track where you are. hope this helps and hope to see you next friday!
  13. cu1234, thank you so so much for all this info!! you have no idea how grateful i am for all this info :)
  14. hi tanya, just bought my plane tickets so hope to see you there as well :)
  15. thanks so much for this info! and about the 129 each way on jetblue from california :)
  16. hi tanya! i was supposed to interview for yale on 01/28 but got snowed out so had to do a phone interview... i think it went well tho, we'll see. you going to accepted students day for columbia? im from california as well and i'm debating whether i want to make the trip out...
  17. congrats to everyone who's been accepted :) also got in for peds NP! still waiting on yale... anybody else in the same situation?
