Hello. Is there a level of CNA (perhaps with specialized training?) who would be legally able/qualified to work in a private duty/home setting in NC with a patient who has: a nasogastric tube, is nonverbal, severly developmentally delayed, is wheelchair bound, requires seizure medication (through the NG tube) 3+ times per day, has a protocol for managing emergency seizure occurrances: administering seizure control medications through ng tube administering seizure control medications rectally activate a VNS implant. [*]would work in the absence of a skilled nurse (RN/LPN) on site, [*]would be required to make the decision to administer or not administer the emergency seizure medications or activate a VNS implant. Thank you for any guidance on this! Marla
