How about if you are a guy?

I understand that you stand for many hours in one place, day in and day out. This is one of the leading causes of varicose veins. Do most of you OR vets have them?

What city do you live in?

I am considering going into the OR as it really interests me. Is the pay about the same or more than other areas of nursing?

If I may ask: What do you make per visit? What is a decent HH per visit amount ... on west coast and/or east coast?

Perhaps I will send out alternate resumes and see what happens. One with the grad degree and one without.

I understand what you are saying. I was just asking in terms of GETTING AN INTERVIEW. I can promise you that I will not put betadine on a pt's lips. :)

I will be a new grad in a few months and wonder if I will have an edge over most just coming out of nursing school. I have the following: 1. BSN and MA in Psych 2. 3 years experience in hospital setting (Psych.) 3. 3 years experience as CNA in hospital setting (Cardiac ICU) Does the grad degree and hospital experience to include the CICU really help me stand out or does it not matter because it was not as an RN?
