  1. How did you finish in a year? Like how did you plan your test?
  2. Hi!! So glad I found this! I just started excelsior and have to retake my sciences because they are to old. I am taking the combined a&p in two weeks and I'm nervous . Jules how was the a&p exam....
  3. How long did you wait to see them? I see it say 48-72hrs but didn't know if you could see them earlier.
  4. GOT THE GOOD POP UP!!!! Won't believe it till official report comes in but Im soooo excited!!!! Did anyone pay for quick results is it worth it? If I do it by friday I would know... Thank you to everyone on this site!!! Congrats to all the other nurses!!
  5. I've been studying all weekend(in addition to the past couple months) today and tmmw then Wednesday no studying at all just relaxing morning, going to try to sleep in a bit say til9a then get breakfast and try to waste time so I don't study bc I dont want to cram and then mix things up ...starting to get really nervous and doubting myself! Trying to be positive though!!
  6. Heyy!! I am also taking my exam in 9/19/12 at 12:30p definitely getting nervous ! I would appreciate any tips too! Good luck!
  7. Hey patcat! You do have to provide your own transportation to the clinical sites where are you coming from? The clinical sites I had weren't bad( like they were close to me...I had one that was 30min from me) but for the most part they are not that far!
  8. Hi everyone! I just wanted to reply back to the thread as I finished LT in June and am graduating today! First so happy this day is here! Such an accomplishment! As I said before the school has gotten bad reviews but it is totally up to the individual on how you make your experience! The program is not easy some classes were easier than others some instructors were good and some were bad but you make your experience! I am glad I got my education there and it's just a stepping stone to being closer to my bsn! I am now headed to Excelsior and yes my Lpn credits transfer! If anyone has any questions ask away!
  9. HI, I am in NJ and thinking about doing excelsior....I was wandering to the person(can't see the names at the moment) who said they paid $4k....that seems very affordable is that the going cost...I thought it was more...I have all my pre-reqs and will have my lpn license in june....if anyone has any info on excelsior....experience, study time/techniques I would be interested in hearing about it...Im making my decision within the next month or so..
  10. Hey!!! I am currently in my 2nd term almost in 3rd term lpn afternoon program at Lincoln tech in moorestown. Your first module is a&p which is just all about anatomy and some things about how the systems work(in med surg you go more in depth), Nursing Funds I & Professional awareness which is just what it sounds...how to do things and about ethics and funds is just about patient care and nutrition & then you also have clinical I. My advice to you is you have to read the chapters and best if you can before class and study...its not easy like some ppl think. I really do enjoy the program... and I think some bad reviews come from ppl who have failed out or whatever...You have to study and I think ppl get the impression that bc its a tech school it won't be hard! But I wish you the Best of luck!
  11. my experience is going well. I really enjoy it! It is hard and you have to study. There are some things that are a bit unorganized but thats with every school.
  12. Here is my email ([email protected]) or just post here. Let me know if you have any questions. There are two breaks in the afternoon/evening class...week off at 4th of July and christmas/new years...I'm not sure about the day or evening(2yr program).
  13. No financial aid didnt cover everything but most and yes the price includes books, uniforms supplies
  14. I attend the afternoon/evening which is mon-thurs 4p-10p for 15months. I believe they do I'm looking in doing an online program after and they will accept them...really once you have your license that's all they care about.
  15. Hey! LT does have alot of bad reviews but I can tell you that it's from the students who drop out or who don't do well. I started in feb 2011 and already 3ppl hav dropped out bc they either had work problems or didnt want to do the work. It's not easy...you have to study most of it is reading and doing practice problems yourself. My teachers that I've had have been great ! It is a accelerated nursing program and some people don't understand that. It's fast, have to read and study! Some people come in thinking it's going to be a breeze and it's not. Let me know if I can help any more! Best of luck!
