  1. Not really. I would say if you miss a question or get it right make sure you read it and understand why the answer is what it is. I am in ohio and I also took the Buszta Review Course and they gave us handouts that our very helpful that I have been reading. This has helped me as I have gone through NCSBN. Its hard at first but has become easier for me as I have studied and read
  2. Not really, I would just make sure when you miss a question you read and understand the right answer. I feel for sure that as I am going through it I am getting better at it. Just read the points to remember and the interactive exercises. I also did the Buszta Review Course in Ohio and they gave us plenty of handouts that I am reading which is helping me understand
  3. Yes, there are repeat questions. Once you take a test you can retake the test, the questions just come back up in a different order. That has helped me learn a lot. I will wait at least a few days and a few more tests before I retake a test
  4. I did the same. I think I was 50-55% as well. But now I'm getting higher thoughout the lessons. I wouldn't let it discourage you at all. Based on how the nclex works, if you miss one, make sure you get the next 1 right. It may take you to 265 questions but as long as you roller coaster and just don't miss anymore than 3 in a row, you should be successful. Think positive and you will pass. Take a look at each question and learn from. Start off strong
  5. you will, the way i figure it is that if i score a 40% on a practice quiz, thats all it is is practice and just learn from it as you will probably see the questions again in a different rationale.
  6. I am taking the NCSBN site. The material is in a outline format. It doesnt help you learn, however the questions are great. From what i hear they are as close to the NCLEX as possible. With that being said, I am consistently scoring in the 55%-60% range. However, there is no doubt in my mind that I know the material. They want you to score 75%. From people i have talked to that teach review classes, they say that the most important questions you answer will be the first 15. That is what will take you above the passing or below the failing line. After that the computer will give you questions designed to get 1 right and 1 wrong based on where you are after 15 questions. So the best i can say is to really focus on your first 15 practice questions so you can get out of the gate strong. I just hate the fact that i cant get over the 70% mark with NCSBN, however i am starting very strong which i believe is the key. Confidence is key, Think in your mind that you ar a RN and you will pass. Leave no doubt or uncertainty in your mind. I take the NCLEX in less than 3 weeks and not once have I said that i will fail. Be confident!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Thank you all. It is hard, but grieving as the days goes on is healing all wounds. Good luck illbeanrn on your nclex. Your success is my motivation. I have heard and read that the review from ncbsn website is great, I mean they are the ones who write the test and monitor so they would know best. I plan to retest in march at the earliest time. It is inspiring that there are others like me who have passed and gives me hope
  8. thank you for all your support. do you know if i have to contact my state board, or do i just sign back up with pearson vue and wait for another att. i really hope that based on the fact the test gave more questions than 75, that i was at least close and still in the running. Its just a shame to get that huge let down. good luck cailex. congrats nursestudent743. i hope that i will have your success in 45 days. what did you do different the second time around?
  9. I am new to the site and looking for help. So i failed the nclex at 77 questions, does this mean that i bombed the last questions of the test if they didnt just shut me off at 75. I feel like a failure. I have no idea what happened. I ended on a specialty psych question. I feel terrible. Can anyone tell me what my progress may have been to shut me off at 77. I had 6 select all that apply and 2 pediatric math problems, and a question were i had to look through a chart. Was I at least close. I dont want to give up but failing with 77 really hurts. Thank You
