What can you tell me about Edinboro?
I just scheduled my classes, and had no trouble once I figured out what my password was. Let me know specifically what you are having trouble with and I'll do my best to help you out, unless you've already figured it out. Have you decided on housing arrangements? I'm kind of curious what other people are planning on doing, since I haven't completely made up my mind. Thanks! :)

What can you tell me about Edinboro?
Biochemgal, you are such a help! Thank you!!! I'm heading up for an Open House on April 2nd, and I will definitely check out College Park Apartments while I'm there. It sounds like we'll be classmates, too, which is exciting. Did you graduate from EUP recently? I'll probably come up with some more questions in the future, and will definitely use you as a resource. Thanks again for your input :)

A-BSN program for 12 months straight, or 15 month program w/ summer off?
I do think the 12 month program has a winter break. I suppose my biggest questions are: do you think a mental break would be appreciated, or knowing that you're done in 12 months is enough motivation to get through without a (summer) break? And do you think it would be beneficial to have a free summer in order to get an internship that might help land a job after graduation?

A-BSN program for 12 months straight, or 15 month program w/ summer off?
For people in Accelerated BSN programs- Would you think it a better idea to: 1. Enter a 12 month A-BSN program that had no breaks (and get into the workforce sooner) Or 2. Enter a 15 month A-BSN program with the summer off (And the opportunity for a mental break and internship... and the internship hopefully leading to a fast job placement) Thoughts appreciated, especially from those who have been there/done that! :)

What can you tell me about Edinboro?
Hi! I've been accepted into Edinboro's Innovative Nursing Program (Accelerated 2nd Degree), and was wondering what people's thoughts were about Edinboro. Did you feel that the program (accelerated or traditional) adequately prepared you for your job? What did you think of the professors? The school's facilities? How were the hospitals for clinicals? For Innovative Program people, were you glad to have the summer off, or would you have preferred to complete the program in 12 months instead? -What did you do with your summer off? Do you think this helped you get a job after graduation? What was the town like to live in? Would you recommend on- or off-campus living? I've heard people say: have a four wheel drive vehicle. Would you consider this necessary? Anything else?? Thanks in advance for your input! :)

How many others are in an accelerated program?
For the folks who are already in A-BSN programs: What would be your thoughts on deciding between two A-BSN programs, one that runs 15 months and has summer off (time for internships) or one that runs 12 months with no time off? I originally was thinking that the shorter, 12 month program would be more beneficial, due to quicker time into the profession, but I'm now leaning towards having a mental break period and some internship time during a summer off instead. I'm hoping that an internship would lead to more job opportunities... Any and all thoughts are appreciated!! :)
