You know i think its sad that nurses put down or disagree with medication aides what about the new nurses that start out and mess up like giving the wrong medications or ask us stna's to do their dressings or leaving the pills in the residents room and they don't take them and that anyone could take them for that fact, because that nurse is in a hurry to get his/her meds passed I am honestly glad that in ohio that some schools are making people obtain an stna license to learn and see what we go through. I know plenty of nurses who say " i didn't go to nursing school to do that" I believe you should become an stna first and gain experience then become a med aide and gain some there and then become an lpn and then an rn. SO WHAT IF WE WANT TO BECOME A MED AIDE AND WOULD LIKE TO TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME. I RATHER TAKE MY TIME AND GAIN EXPERIENCE THANK YOU VERY MUCH.....
