    I've been a nurse for many years 25+. During that time I have done and worked in many settings, even taught nursing school for 6 years. Recently completed my FNP but failed the certification exam. I'd like to change gears and get into the OR or a PACU setting. The problem is that the FNP is actually a hinderance on my resume. The few OR residency programs I've seen are for new grads. Any insight or advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance

    Excuse my ignorance but Which is more useful the Ph.D or the doctorate? What are the differences &/or benifits of one over the other?
